Myself and my friend booked in at the plough inn for our visit to Leicester for the Kasabian gig, we were welcomed with warm arms by Karl and the rest of the staff. Although the rooms are actually quite basic they are absolutely spotless. Being only 10 mins from the KP stadium/ centre of town was also ideal for us!... More

This is a good, honest, local, friendly pub. The accommodation is good and ideal if you are visiting the area for a short stay. The staff are very welcoming, in particular the young lady who cooked and served breakfast. She was excellent and nothing too much trouble. It was our daughters birthday and we had a surprise breakfast for her... More

Lovely comfortable stay. Rooms were spacious and clean. I was particularly impressed with where and the design of the rooms at the B&B. From the outside, they looked like little chalets. Conveniently situated from were I was performing, and the breakfast in the morning was fab. The hospiatlity of the staff was wonderful, particularly the female chef serving breakfast in... More

I stayed here for 1 night it was at the back of the pub and you would have never known this as at night all was quiet. The breakfast was excellent fresh and hot and the staff were amongst the friendliest and accommodating you could have. The pub is not far from wigston town centre with loads of amenities and... This is our second visit to this inn, while visiting from Australia, and both times we have had a great time while here. We have found all the staff to be helpful and happy. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable, and of a reasonable size. There is also plenty of off-street parking (for those of us with cars), and... More

Having tried another pub for Sunday lunch with my parents (which was awful), we decided to try The plough. Service was excellent, food was amazing. Proper home made roast potatoes, tender roast beef, huge homemade yorkshire pudding, a bowl of fluffy mash potato, large bowls of broccoli & cauliflower covered in cheese! With honey glazed parsnips & carrots, and the... More

We could not get accomodation in Leicester itself, so settled on the Plough Inn which is in Great Leicester. Staff were friendly and parking was easy. But, overall, the Plough Inn was poor. The room had leftover smoke smell. Dinner was nothing special but breakfast was even worse with a very undercooked sausage. We pointed this out to the waitress,... More

The Plough Inn is a relaxing place to stay close to Leicester, with a friendly pub with great food, and cosy accommodation at the rear of the property. Being a history geek I also enjoyed seeing there is a knitting museum next door! Breakfast was a good English, with friendly locals joining in, to make it a perfect start to... More
