Upon your arrival, Dale and Sandra greet you and you immediately feel welcome. It is such an amazing and beautiful home. Spacious, warm and well designed for a very open atmosphere. Dale is very well informed of the local area and the history in the region and a very friendly person. Meeting Sandra is like coming home for a stay with your Mom, right down to the Sunday morning hug before breakfast. We spent only Saturday night but wished we could have stayed longer and will certainly return to stay again. Sandra serves up a full breakfast and there is nothing like waking up to the smell of bacon cooking. A full open basement/game room for the family to enjoy. A stop here will be a great choice.

If you want to experience the real, authentic Canada, you should visit Hemlock Point! I must say that I traveled a lot around the world, visited MANY B&Bs, but I was never so impressed like this one. What we liked the most was the hosts- Sandra & Dale, such nice and welcoming people, they really give their 150% to make sure you have the best experience and you feel like you are home- starting with a nice welcoming snack & a drink, Canoe lesson, boat ride, DELICIOUS breakfasts, they take great pictures for you during your stay (and they send it to you few hours after you leave so you'll have all these memories captured) and you even get a hug in the morning!!! ;) Seriously, I think they were the nicest people we have ever met in our lives! Second is the view- beautiful location, the house is right on the lake- so you can swim or use their Canoe whenever you like to explore the beautiful area and that "mirrored" lake. They are also pretty close to Algonquin park, a good base point to have day trips in the park. The house itself is absolutely stunning as well, warm and cozy wood house with a beautiful living room and a fire place. Overall, a MUST DO experience if you are visiting Algonquin, you will never forget this place! We will definitely visit again. THANK YOU Sandra and Dale!

Sandra and Dale have built a beautiful home and its amazing to witness their pride and maintenance of this beautiful lodge. Our stay was amazing from start to finish, we got there much later than expected, and they greeted us with warm and welcome arms and immediately made us feel at home. The breakfast's were delicious and the home is really special. Dale & Sandra offered amazing advice for our time in the area and took us out for a boat tour on the lake. Their generosity of spirit and home made our stay so very relaxing.

We arrived at Sandra and Dale's as part of a two week tour of Ontario. I was a little surprised at how uniformly glowing the reviews were. At the time I thought were lucky to get in because of a cancellation; I soon learned just how lucky when we rolled up their driveway. Sandra and Dale's home is conveniently located north of Huntsville. It has fairly easy access to Algonquin Park, and balances being accessible with being remote and secluded. Their home is a beautiful Scandinavian log home, and evokes a lodge. It has many excellent amenities, including lake access for swimming or canoeing, and is very close to a nice running trail. We have stayed at a lot of B and Bs and Airbnbs, and I have to say, Sandra and Dale provided one of the best experiences we've ever had. The most unique thing about them is their generosity of spirit. Some proprietors make you feel like boarders; Sandra and Dale make you feel like family. This is exemplified by all of the little things they did that go above and beyond the typical experience. Over the course of the two days, Sandra and Dale: gave us a tour of the unique construction of their Scandinavian log home; gave us a crash course on proper canoeing technique as taught by the Canadian rangers; and took us for a cruise around their lake and surrounding rivers on their boat. These experiences are in addition to the things I expect from a good B and B, including the delicious breakfasts they cooked, and the excellent activities they recommended. Before we had departed Canada they had also sent us a set of pictures they took of us to help us memorialize the experience. I can honestly say that staying at Sandra and Dale's was one of the highlights of our vacation. If you are looking for a place to escape the grind of daily life, you'd be lucky to spend some time with them at Hemlock Point.

Sandra and Dale have built an amazing house, and welcome you to it like it's your own. They're generous with their time telling you about the area, getting to know you and giving you a taste of Algonquin actives (I can recommend the swimming in the lake!)
