We recently stayed here at Eagle River Inn. The motel is also attached to the restaraunt / bar area. I will be doing a review on that area also. Our room was a queen room, with a good amount of space, as well as table and chairs. A coffee maker is also in the room too. In addition they have a flat screen TV with cable, and a smaller fridge for items you want kept cold. Great setup for evenings when you want to lay back after a day of excursions and doing a lot of things. Location is the key here and the area of Eagle Harbor, as there is a beach area down the street as well as the Eagle Harbor Inn restaraunt next door. Eagle Harbor Inn is a great home base for visiting the area. I highly recommend Eagle Harbor Inn, as the small hometown and laid back feeling. We will be back on our return visits to the area. They also offer several types of rooms for your needs. They are open year round, so this makes a perfect base for winter sports. I am attaching a few pictures of our queen room to give a better insight of what the queen room looks like. So go enjoy the area. Snowman : O )

This review pertains to the lodging portion, as we did not eat in the restaurant. It was pre-season and wasn't open on the night we would have eaten there. The lodging is clean and comfortable and quiet, incredibly so for those from noisy suburban or urban environments, like us. The check-in is smooth and easy and they care if you need any help. Its central location on the Keewenaw coast is why we chose it and that fit the bill, especially if you like sunsets! Internet isn't the greatest, but if you come up here, leave that noise behind, too.

We stayed 1 night in the Eagle Harbor Hotel and it was a pleasant stay. We had a queen room and it looked just like the picture. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.
We did not eat at the restaurant but when we checked in at the desk the food smelt Yummy. Wish we could have eaten there but had other plans.

My family and I stayed 4 nights in the apartment at EHI. Absolutely, love it. The apartment was great, clean, comfortable, and perfect size. You cannot ask for better owners, Dave and Joann are awesome! The restaurant has great food - especially the pizza! Beach right around the corner, park down the street for our your boys, short drive to Copper Harbor and many other attractions. You can't beat the location. I highly recommend Eagle Harbor Inn - both the Motel and the Restaurant. This will be an annual family trip for us!

Comfortable Beds, great location! Clean and Cozy! We stayed here on our first night of a trip to Keweenaw. Fortunately for us the Northern Lights showed up in a BIG way, and we were 2 blocks from the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse. Great spot to view them. Will stay here again!

The "terrible" rating is generous. There is an outdoor patio attached to the neighboring restaurant. This patio was right outside our room window. We listened to restaurant guests drinking and talking while trying to sleep on the most uncomfortable bed in the hottest of rooms. When they left, we listened to the employees cleaning up. Our room had cobwebs in each corner - though superficially, it was ok in the clean department. We were their only guests (which should have been a clue). The wireless internet connection?????? Don't know....couldn't connect.

It's hard to find a motel in the Keweenaw Peninsula that offers all the amenities that the chain hotels offer. But, you can find a clean, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, plenty of towels and cable TV. They even have a wireless internet connection for your convenience. If you want to relax, you can take advantage of their jacuzzi that's available for guests only. The Eagle Harbor Inn also has a restaurant on the same property as the motel (in fact, you enter the restaurant to check in). This hotel is located in Eagle Harbor, MI which is pretty close to Eagle River. Just follow the signs for Eagle Harbor.

Being on the water was nice. We enjoyed listening to the waves. The room was not very comfortable and although that may not happen very often, it was too hot for sleeping. No AC, because most of the year it is unnecesary.

They really should offer some kind of food at breakfast. The restaurant in the Inn is closed then and there is no other place to eat in town.

Having read the reviews I didn't know what to think, but I was pleasantly surprised. This little roadside motel, which is attached to the local restaurant, is in a charming little hamlet that is perfectly situated for exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula.

My room was super clean and recently renovated. I also understand all the rooms have been renovated. The bathroom in particular was superb -- totally redone, lots of towels, bars of soap, shampoo and even body lotion. The bed was comfortable, though I would rather see a duvet than a blanket. The television was older and small, but had a full selection of cable TV channels. There was also an in-room coffeemaker and a small table with chairs for eating. Wireless internet was complimentary, although I found the speed somewhat slow. The staff at the restaurant, which is where you check-in and get your keys, was also friendly.

The attached restaurant is very good, too. Seeing lots of locals eating there is always a good thing. It also has a good selection of wine and deserts made fresh every day.

My only real complaint is the lack of breakfast options or even a discount on dinner for guests staying at the motel. It would be nice to bundle a dinner and bottle of wine in with the dinner.

While I never stay at roadside motels, I'd be willing to stay here again when in the Keweenaw

It was nice to stay in something other than a run of the mill motel or hotel. Nice restaurant there too. It all has a real U.P. style to it.

I could get Internet and everything I needed (I can't live without Internet!) and the jacuzzi was pretty nice after the long drive.
