Detailed Reviews
We have stayed here 2 nights before the long weekend, in one of the Jamaica 2 bedroom villas. The villa was so much bigger than we expected! It had 3 floors, bedrooms were on the 2nd and 3rd floor, accessible by outside stair case. Overal it was clean, but could me maintained a little bit better. The bathroom on the top floor does not have a shower, just a shower hose in the jacuzzi. It is very short, so it is impossible to take a proper shower there as you have to sit down.
It was very quiet when we were there, almost as if the beach and main pool were private too. Pool could be a bit cleaner, but it was a nice place to hang out. Breakfast and dinner were oke, not a very big selection availbale but sufficient.

I stayed here for a night and liked it. The resort is build right at the beach and perfect for a little couples getaway. The room had a good size with all the amenities needed. The food in the restaurant was good so was the breakfast ( wide variety of food available). Overall good value.

The reception area is very nice and clean. Staff friendly. Easy check in and out. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped. Beds are very comfortable for me. Ours had a private pool and it was very clean and plenty of towels.
The walkway to the beach is very well kept with many flowers and side pools. The Beach is very fine sand and plain. No life guard on duty.
There is a spa and massage on site.
Breakfast is very good with Egg chef, Thai coffee chef and a variety of different cuisines to choose from. Restaurant staff are very efficient and friendly.
For the price I highly recommend this resort.

Planning our family trip since covid 19 is getting better in Thailand. During reservation, I was very impressed of the way their staff try to up selling their rooms and very helpful.
The day of check in was Friday, bellman was not assist me to offload my luggage from car. Reception asked us to take a sit as they are taking care another guest. By observing them finishing their guest, we are still not been call to check in. I decided to walked and ask are they (2 staffs in counter) FREE to check us in? We are lucky that they have room for us about 1pm, thanks to rooms available and hotel staff kindness. Welcome drinks was served after I demanded during checked in.
Checked in to our room Hawaii 104 , very spaces room at living rooms, tv at wrong place cause sofa at wrong place. No place for us to hang out tower, balcony area was smell cigarette due to maintenance staff office was below us and always smoke there.
Next day morning we went breakfast at 6.30am but unfortunately no one attended to us. Egg station was ready at 7am and same goes some special counter which need staff to standby. Our room was told will be attend after 4pm (Dhevan’s standard) but lastly no one came until late and we need to call several time to asked them to refill our daily mineral water. TV channel was very poor signal, not much choice, WiFi not strong. We facing loud sound from the bar and restaurant area late night, hotel’s guest sing karaoke and chat very loud aabout 12midnight after they finished their drinking session I supposed. Can’t really blame hotel cause was their guest. Told our kids that we will not come again but they really have have beautiful beach in front of their swimming pool area.

Stayed here for three nights and while staff were pleasant and attentive the rest of the hotel was very disappointing. Came here to relax and use the pool however the swimming pool had so many tiles missing and not just a few almost every other tile we decided it was too dangerous to swim. Staff try and keep the resort clean however things have been left to rot such as the sun loungers, chairs around the pool which is such a shame. Towels provided at the pool had been patched in addition to bedsheets. It is such a shame as this hotel could be made so much nicer if it kept up with the maintenance. Unfortunately I don’t think I would return.

If you 'really' wish to get away from it all this is possibly the right place, as along this part of the coast close to Kuibury and basically 5 mins drive from Sam Roi Yot National Park; you have kilometres of beach completely deserted...
The hotel is possibly the best in the area, attached on the hotel left handside there is a Wat with a huge standing Buddha watching the sea (on the other side there's also a smaller resort worth a visit); service & staff are outstanding and extremely helpful, even if their language is only Thai, aside from a lady called Mainee (or Manee sorry!) which speaks a good English - so if you need to explain something more than the usual you have been advised!
I stayed for a week and aside few Thai families, I have never come across to anybody else from the Europe, or anybody not Thai for that matter - so extremely good also because you will not talk much to anybody, but you can read books, and relax as much as you like...
If you feel like do as I did - rent a bike and go around the area, along the coast going north you soon reach the National Park entrance, while going south you will be going towards Prachuap Khiri Khan which is the province of this area; you can stop off along the small eating area or bars on the beach (again do not expect to meet anybody than locals) and while having a drink to cool you down watch the sea and dream..
The beach as I said is long and unexplored, however do not expect to be clean as in some area is kind of rubbish left over; also the sea close to the hotel is not for a safe swim, actually in my opinion is not for swimming at all, so if you are after swimming in the sea you would have to look elsewhere - this is a disappointment, if you are staying at Dhevan Dara however you have a pretty nice swimming pool where you can easily swim, most of the time all on your own!
The hotel offers a free shuttle to Hua Hin, to the evening chaos of the evning market, which is good when you really wish to see somebody and may be eat in a restaurant (pretty much all serving seafood which is great in the area); let Reception know the day you wish to go, the shuttle departs @ 17:00 and takes approx one hour, you will be left to wonder in Hua Hin until 20:30 when the shuttle picks you up and take you back to the Dhevan Dara.
Also if you wish to go somewhere in the area, and you are not so keen in renting a motorbike ask hotel reception as they might wish to take you; note that the hotel provide bicycles free of charge should you wish to go around but close to the hotel area...
Breakfast is quite strange, as it is served at your table (not the usual buffet style), and is a mixture of western & thai dishes, you can order again and again if they are not enough for you.
That's all for Dhevan Dara.

My wife and I were nearby so we stopped just to check the resort out .
In arriving the staff greeted us and were very informative about the resort .
On walking past the villas we felt that they were to close to each over and too big for our needs as multiple bedrooms.
We both thought as a small area they put too many buildings on a small space and looked more like town houses.
The pools area looked nice but many workers doing maintenance which was needed so when finished it will look nice for the high season.
We didn’t look at any rooms or visit the restaurant.
As at our resort it’s ok for local guests but westerners might find it very restricted to get about.

We had the hotel to ourselves for 2 days which always helps. We also got upgraded to a Junior Suite......yep, that helps too!
The room was very spacious and clean and everything worked, although the TV had few channels and the signal was bad. Luckily the free wifi worked well.
The beach is a mix of sand and a little mud and the sea tends to retreat out a long way but it meant that long walks are fun.
The restaurant was excellent, with plenty of breakfast available and room service was quick and efficient. It you want to go out and eat there are a couple of restaurants along the beach but transport is needed. For the adventurous, the main Bangkok to the south train line comes through Kuiburi and there's a quaint little station close to the hotel.
The pool needs some tiles replacing but it was big and great to relax in, especially when you're alone (I know, I've said that before!).

We stopped there for 3 days during our 2 week tour in Thailand. Like every places staff is so nice and will do whatever they can to please you. We can see some details which are not totally perfect, like from our huge bed (bigger than a king) we were missing 1 bedside table, a lamp and a plug. Beach is not like you could imagine, sand is not white but the pool (apparently renovated based on a comment from 2018) is huge with several other fountains. Easy to spend time there and relax. Food is really good and the best for the end the spa.....loved it!!!!! Don't expect a 4* like in Europe or the in the US. It's one in the decoration but a 3* in small details you won't find elsewhere. Honestly worth it. Just the staff by itself makes you st home

We arrived quite late, around 10.30 PM. We were graciously given an upgrade to a larger room, which was very nice. After a long drive, however, we were tired and hungry - the minibar was empty (besides 2 bottles of water), and the hotel kitchen was closed. After calling reception we were told that they could not provide any snacks, including instant noodles or chips which are generally provided in mini bars in hotels in Thailand. We were told that there was a small shop nearby and they could give one of us a bicycle to cycle over and buy snacks which was pretty off-putting, and we ended up going to bed hungry. On top of that, the bed was quite hard. Breakfast the next morning was not so interesting either.
The hotel on the whole is great, though, and I would come back again - my only recommendation is to make sure you sort out food elsewhere if you arrive late.
