With last-minute availability on a June weekend we were not sure what we were getting into. But WOW what a pleasant surprise! Kathleen runs a fantastic B and B, complete with awesome accommodations, spectacular, unobstructed lake views (her three rooms are no more than 50 feet from the shore of one of Canada's most beautiful lakes) and a great breakfast.... We skipped up to British Columbia from Spokane, Washington, only a 2.5 hour trip, over Memorial Day Weekend to get away from the U.S holiday crowds. It was an excellent idea, as Christina Lake was serene. Our stay at Sunflower Inn was delightful, breakfasts delicious, and the hostess interactive and helpful. She is a great conversationalist. We stayed in the... More

We spend one night at this awesome place. The hostess was super friendly and welcoming. The house is right on the lake and the views are spectacular. In the evening we enjoyed the quietness and nice sunset. Breakfast the next morning was very good and healthy, she made us omelets and home made bread. We felt refreshed and ready to hit the road... 3 Nites at this comfortable B&B on the shores of Christina Lake were a delight. We stayed in the Sage Room that was right at the front of the home, steps to the beach and offered private access. We could have made a light meal had we chosen to but the weather did not support this unfortunately. Kathleen was a... More

We were passing through BC on our way back to Alberta and decided to spend an evening at the Sunflower B&B on beautiful Christina Lake. We are already looking forward to an extended visit next year. Kathleen gave us a warm welcome and got us settled in. We were in the Sandstone Room and it was clean and comfortable. Kathleen's... More

Kathleen made us feel most welcome. Even made homemade muffins for my diabetic partner. Had a lovely kayak on the lake, a wonderful nights' sleep in the sage room followed by a hearty breakfast the next day. Thank you so much. Would love to come again. Cheryl Thomas

This was our first time in a B&B, did we ever get lucky. We booked the Calendula room for a two night stay. The room was spotless and the host Katleen could not do enough to make our stay special as it was a surprise treat from my husband for a special birthday. We had a cooked breakfast both days... Beautiful chalet on the shore of Christina Lake. The view is absolutely gorgeous. There is a tranquil atmosphere at this lovely property. Kathleen is a warm and friendly host. The rooms are clean and the Calendula suite that we stayed in was huge. The suite had a jetted tub for a long soak and also a separate shower. There are... More

Having read many of the reviews, they accurately describe Kathleen and the Inn. I will therefore concentrate on the bonus (Healing touch therapy). Around 12 years ago my wife and I stumbled upon the Sunflower. I had no idea what healing touch was but decided to have a treatment to see what it was about. It was an amazing goose... More

Kathleen, the host, provides a very friendly and warm atmosphere at this beautifully-situated B&B right on the beach at Christina Lake. Breakfasts are terrific and don't leave any room for lunch! The room was clean and the amenities were all we needed with ample supplies for coffee, tea and multiple fridges to keep cool our fruit and wine. We would... More
