Response from shawn b, Owner at 100 Mile Motel and RV Park
Responded Nov 7, 2018
Customers are NOT always right and this woman was a nightmare right from the start. If my replies to reviews like this one are excuses then reviews like this are just whiners and complainers. First of all my customer service skills are bang on and work rather well considering I've been in business for 20 years with success. This lady booked an RV site for a week because her son was here in 100 Mile House for the Jr hockey teams try outs. She booked with us because we have weekly rates and no one else does so she could save money. When I say no one else has weekly rates, there is probably dozens of RV parks within 20-30 minutes from us including several within 5 min so the only game in town BS is just that, BS. She stayed with us because she's cheap and wanted a deal. I had 2 nightly's reservations that I re-routed to other RV parks so I could accommodate this family for the week. When they arrived she thought maybe they would be here 5 nights only and wanted to change her reservation to nightly because she could save a few bucks, which once again I accommodated. Then they ended up staying 8 nights so at the end she wanted to go back and pay the weekly rate and I said NO, tried to explain the reasoning behind my decision but she thought that I should be more flexible and work with her because she would be back if her son made the team. No Deal. She was pissed. When we take reservations for weekly and monthly rates you have the option to take those deals only at the beginning of your stay, not at the end. You must remember we can NOT take a reservation for that spot once booked for a week so when someone changes their reservation upon arrival it hurts us financially but we thought we were being flexible when we agreed to allow her to pay nightly instead of the weekly reservation that she Booked. Are you feeling the cheapness here or what? Our RV park is full pretty much 8-10 months of the year and we cannot afford to lose money in our primetime to anyone. The reason I remember this woman in great detail because its the only problem we have had in our RV Park in years. This is the reason this woman was pissed and probably wrote this review, sometimes when someone doesn't get there way in one aspect of their stay all of a sudden everything was terrible. This review does not affect us what so ever. As far as the complaints about the RV bathrooms, all I can say is we had a bad leak in one of our showers in the woman's bathroom and it took about 3 weeks to get a plumber. It caused a mess in the woman's bathroom but we could not shut the water off because it would shut down the whole bathroom both men and women. There was another shower for them to use and once again we were FULL and everyone else understood the situation except this woman???? I wish there was a place for Businesses to write reviews about consumers since no one has opened up that kind of website yet I will continue to respond with my excuses so as all consumers can have both sides of the story and make a judgment themselves. Oh and after all of this she wanted and expected us to free up a spot, to store her RV for free for her, yup thats right FREE, you can't make this stuff up

We booked this the same as travelling to 100 Mile House from Fort St. John and liked it because we can just take our luggage/etc straight from the vehicle into the room. The room is a bit tight but the beds were really comfy to sleep in. I was glad it was a cooler night

We were passing through 100 mile house and had booked 2 rooms at this motel. It was ok... the sign says air conditioning - this did not exist in my or my friends room. Was clean but dated and the shower wasn't great! Beds were comfy, only had a small white fan in the room to

On our road trip, this was the cheapest price we paid -- $85 + tax for one night.( I mention this because one motel we stayed at was dingy and old--we were too tired to go any further - and they charged the same as the Best Western we had stayed at the night before $120.) The

I've stayed here a few times and always found it adequate. The facility is older and could use some TLC but was kept clean and was reasonably comfortable. I experienced considerable highway noise during my stays but always managed to catch at least some sleep. This place is
