We stayed here 3 nights and ate dinner here two of them. The kitchen is really nice, well-stocked and new, as are the bathrooms (some are toilets and sinks and some are sinks and showers). Rooms are small but nicely done and everything is very clean. We had a family room (2 bunk beds with twins over doubles) which worked... More

My 18 year old son and I (age 51) were on a road trip through the Rockies and were fortunate enough to secure a room at the Fireweed Hostel for one night in July 2016. I've always thought of Hostels as places for young people travelling on a budget, but since it was the only place we could find a... More

Had a wonderful 4 nights at the Fireweed hostel. I was hesitant to stay at a hostel but glad I did. I paid for a private room (Stephens room) which has a wonderful mtn view from the window. Bathrooms were spotless--cleaner than a hotel bathroom. Kitchen and common areas were clean and comfy to hang out in. Never had to... More

Having never stayed in a hostel before, I was nervous. The Fireweed Hostel is unlike any horrible rumors I'd ever heard about staying in a hostel. The Fireweed Hostel is spotless and cleaner than most hotels I've stayed in before. The kitchen is absolutely gorgeous and has clean, brand new appliances and cooking ware/utensils to meet all guest needs. The... More

We did not want to stay in Lake Louise; so, we opted for Fields, BC, not very far. We did not know what to expect from a hostel.. But we were extremely pleased with the 2-bedroom apartment we rented. Everything is there and the place is very comfortable. We even had access to a brand new BBQ!

The hostel itself is modern and spacious, with an excellent kitchen and a large living/dining room that has wonderful views over the mountains. The owners were friendly and accommodating, even though I arrived late in the evening. The hostel is very close to the facilities in Field village - a good cafe/shop is just across the road. Field itself is... More

My group and myself had rented the 2-bedroom suite at Fireweed Hostel for 2 nights. Perhaps it is because we had got the suite - otherwise, we do not really understand why it is called a hostel. It is definitely more than a hostel. It was more like a cozy guesthouse with full amenities! The place itself is new, with... More

So we just stayed here in late April and had the whole hostel to ourselves. I didn't realise it was so small when we booked! There were only 4 rooms on the second floor with one bathroom and one shower. Our room had 4 beds (2 doubles, 2 twins) for the two of us. It was so clean and quiet... More

Hi Erin, thanks for the great review. I just wanted to clarify that we do have additional bathrooms that we open when we have a higher guest count. We have 3 toilets and 2 showers to service 16 guests. Generally there is no waiting to use them. Cheers, Craig. More

Cosy little Fireweed Hostel is close to a lot of ice climbs, and was an ideal base for our trip. Our four-bed room had enough space for our gear and the beds were clean and comfortable. The common area has a log fire and a good atmosphere. The kitchen is well-equipped but has one four-ring cooker so it isn't large... More
