We just returned from our stay at CML. Overall it was a great experience for our family. CML is in the Yoho National Park and the hiking is exceptional, as are the lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. The Cabins are much nicer than you would expect. Very comfortable. A couple of minor things concerned us that we feel need to be... More

Well. As I wrote in my previous review, this is one of my favorite places on earth. And I was very disappointed in that past experience. Once again my husband and I were hiking in the area and he convinced me to give Cathedral Mountain Lodge a second chance. I did. And it was fantastic and as awesome as it... More

I must admit I tried to book Moraine Lake Lodge first but it was full for the requested days and was told about Cathedral Mountain Lodge. Oh my, I am so glad we were and wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else. It was peaceful, serene and stunningly beautiful. Emily took care of us from the start of the process... More

I was looking for a getaway to relax and disconnect from the rat race for a few days. The Cathedral Mountain Lodge was just perfect. I spent a handful of days in one of their Premium Cabins which came complete with a fireplace and steady supply of perfectly chopped wood and a front porch to chat and sip wine on... More

We were upgraded to a Premier cabin which was lovely. Very comfortable bed, seating area, a terrace, wood fire, a good bathroom and situated near the woods at the back of the site. We found it very quiet and had no trouble sleeping. The dining room/lounge was lovely with complementary afternoon drinks, pastries and cookies, a roaring fire and a... More

We stayed at the Cathedral Mountain Lodge (CML) for 5 nights. We had pre-booked to go on guided hikes which is a service provided by the sister lodge at Moraine Lake. Although 40 minutes away it is worth it for the guided walk with 'Mike the Hike'. He shares his knowledge of the area during the walk. Anyway back to... More

What a delight to stay at the CML! Individual, cozy cabins, complete with fireplaces! Very spacious cabins with a sitting area in front of the fireplace, very comfortable beds, and very nice, clean bathrooms. The lodge where you check in has a charming dining room with a sitting area in front of a large crackling fire in the fireplace. The... More

On a map it looks geografically perfect. However, at least our cottage, was a bit noisy with nearby trains going uphill. Not many choices nearby, prices for the room set accordingly. Will search for alternative next time. Restaurant pricy as well but superb food.

My husband and I spent 4 nights in Banff and Jasper national parks and this was our favorite place to stay (other lodgings were Fairmont Lake Louise, Fairmont Banff Springs and Sunwapta Falls lodge). Our cabin with loft was large and looked out directly on the Kicking Horse River; location was convenient to the highway but private, which we appreciated.... More

We stayed at Cathedral Mountain Lodge for 3 nights of our 14 day honeymoon. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food top rated. The only real negative was that with the complimentary canoes and guided walks off site(20 mins drive away) were both cancelled meaning unless we went back another day we could not take up these...
