We stayed overnight and found loose change under the sheets. We decided to just stay the night as we had our dog. The following morning upon checkout I informed reception and received a 10% discount. With the $1.60 found under the sheets and $150 a night rate, thanks a lot for your generosity. Would not be staying here again. Quite... More

The mount peyton really needs an upgrade, it is pretty much the same today as it was 25 years ago. The rooms are okay but several have broken windows that have been "fixed" with tape. The floors squeak and the walls are very thin. This place needs a lot of TLC.

When travelling from St. John's to Corner Brook and end up in Grand Falls you do not have many options to get a good night of sleep. When you stay at the Mount Peyton you still do not have an option. HORRIBLE sleep. I actually considered leaving and sleeping in my car! Old crappy matresses.....enough bad news, stay somewhere else!... More

There were five of us. When we first arrived they allowed us to look at a room in each building to see what one would be most suitable for us. We decided with one in the hotel itself. The room was outdated, smelt dingy and humid. Come time one of us had to use a plug in, found that only... More

Normally stay here to do some personal business and attend doctor appts. Quite recently the roof has literally blown off this place and is a state of repair. It now has new ownership and it remains to be seen whether or not the necessary and much needed renovations will be done. Staff are great to deal with but the structure... More

I stopped here on business for the first time in 2 years. The last time I was here the rooms required an update but this time its my own fault. I was going to go a few extra kilometers to get a chalet or cabin but I was tired of driving. This place hasn't changed in years. The rooms are... More

MP is not the best for a business stay, but quite good for a hockey tournament venue. The kids have some liberal freedoms and the parents are able to socialize in their areas. A go to hotel in GFW close to the rinks and restaurants to satisfy all.

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the past 25 years. Nothing (other than the price) has changed. The hotel, lobby, hallways, rooms, bathrooms, etc - are all painfully tired. The rooms are clean and the place is functional. That's about all one can say. To pay $170 for a queen room for one night is way overpriced given... More

The location of this hotel is good because it's right off the highway and near a gas station/convenience store. That doesn't make up for the hotel though. The staff were adequate, many times I went to the desk and if they were doing something I didn't get acknowledged until they were done, even though they could clearly see me. The... More

I've stayed at the Mount Peyton several times, as there is very little to chose from in the area. This hotel is in dire need of an update. The carpet is worn, the trim is chipped, the bathroom is ancient, and the beds are awful. The CRT tv flickers, and the WIFI is completely unusable. If it weren't for the... More
