The room was comfortable and pleasant with a common room on each floor which was great. The breakfast basket was more than plentiful and quite delicious. We enjoyed that we could walk to the main part of the town where parking is a very difficult thing. The house itself is historic and a very interesting design.

We could only stay one night but the Bluenose Lodge is nothing short of outstanding. The Bluenose itself is a grand and beautiful old building, The rooms and beds are comfortable, the breakfast baskets are great. Hospitality is outstanding. The Lodge is within easy walking distance of the water front and other tourist destinations. I want to go back to... More

We stayed at the Bluenose as a family and I struggle to know how to rate it. I've read some of the other reviews and feel that they are not balanced. The good stuff: It is a well situated lodge. Although the junction is busy during the day we were only disturbed once in four nights by people leaving the... More

Our host was very friendly and welcoming. She was very helpful and knows lots about the area, and made some good recommendations. The lodge in a close walk to the harbour. The bed was comfortable, although the top floor got a little warm in the hot summer heat. Fans were provided, which helped. Breakfast was in a basket delivered to... More

This is a historic property with character just a few minutes' walk from the waterfront and the other points of interest and amenities in Lunenburg. It has space for parking outside. Our room was quite comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, with a spa bath. It was however expensive (the most expensive of the 7 hotels we stayed in during... More

Beautiful from the street and very nice inside. We had a change of itinerary and decided to check out Lunenberg. We were able to secure 2 rooms- lucky at the late date of our request. The Innkeeper told us all she had was on the 3rd floor- we appreciated her letting us know. It was a warm night and the... More

My wife and I stayed at the Bluenose Lodge for our 5th anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate. The suite was lovely with a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. The owner Andrea was wonderful and even helped me coordinate getting flowers to the suite to surprise my wife! I would highly recommend the Bluenose... More

We stayed on the main floor of the Coach House, in the rear of the main building. It was spacious and comfortable, with a kitchen, living room, separate bedroom area (with AC - very welcome in the very hot weather) and a spacious bathroom (tub/shower combo). The owner showed us around and was very helpful and personally brought us a... More

Stayed here for two nights in July and not only was our room on the second floor, amazing with high ceilings, window fan, bathroom with amazing water pressure, and the most comfortable bed, I've ever slept on. The breakfast wasn't that much, but the pastries we had weren't bad, but was looking for a little more. The owner was very... More

We were a family group - 7 adults -- and found this to be a perfect place for our stay. We spent many happy hours in the lounge area on our floor, where the scent of privet and some other sweet flowering things drifts in. The rooms are beautifully appointed - each distinctly furnished and comfortable. The location is also... More
