Faces the bay and bedrooms that the view is towards the bay A wonderful owner and very hospitable. Deck area outside to sit and enjoy yourself. Great breakfast and just a wonderful stay. the 1880 Kaulbach House has recently been taken over by new management. Elisa was warm and accommodating despite her new owner challenges of managing a busy 6 room Inn. The Inn is well maintained and comfortable with solid internet connectivity throughout the house. The televisions are embarrassingly small and need to be refreshed but overall, we enjoyed a comfortable stay.

We stayed at the B&B for 4 nights in July. Great location, charming house and very good breakfast every morning, The new owners were very nice and service minded. The wifi provided was a bit unstable, but they were currently waiting for the service provider to sort that out so that shouldn't be a lasting problem. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Kaulbach House in late July. The new owners are making several upgrades that will gild the lily. We had a twin bed room with air conditioning, which was much needed at that time. Breakfast was outstanding. I also appreciated the coffee facilities in the room as I am an early riser. Parking in the back can be... More

Apparently under relatively new ownership, the hostess made every effort to make our stay comfortable., and she certainly succeeded. Our room was called "Harbourview"... and yes, it did have a view of the harbor, though limited due to the configuration of the room. Certainly not a big deal since there was a lovely sitting area for two right outside our... More

We had booked our stay a few months ago and had put down that my husband and I didn't eat dairy or meat (my mom did so it was just 2 special requests). There was an ownership change and they didn't have our requests - we had NOTHING to worry about - the new owners were AMAZING. Aletha was FANTASTIC... More

We had the Bluenose Suite on the third floor. When we arrived, we parked in the back parking lot (it's small and tight). We used the outside stairwell to the room to bring our luggage into the room. Taking it through the house and using the inside stairwell would have been difficult because the stair to the third floor was... More

The 1880 Kaulbach House Historic Inn is a wonderful place to stay in Lunenburg. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the sitting area in the Bluenose Suite is incredible. If you are thinking of visiting this pretty, little town then I would definitely recommend staying here!

This is an ideal location for exploring Lunenburg. Everything is within walking distance- waterfront, food, shops, and the gorgeous historic churches. Rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. The new owners are off to a fantastic start. Breakfast was superb- Alitha is the queen of muffins! Ed could not be more helpful! Wish you much success in your new phase of... More

We really enjoyed staying at the Kaulbach House and having a chance to meet the owners Brian and Jennie. As others described, the room was smaller than some but nicely decorated, with the sink next to the bed. But the shower was perfect and the bed quite comfortable. We travel light on luggage so it was no problem. Breakfast was... More
