Hi everyone, In my experience I stayed many of choice hotel around canada. That is the one most garbage hotel and garbage stuff in this hotel. We stayed in two room for 3 night in this garbage econo lodge maple ridge. I share some pictures that’s how was room we sleep 3 night. First thing is ...... They don’t do housekeeping stay room service. Wifi not working. Safety door latch broken. Lamp is very dusty. Furnitures paint off. Hot tub jacuzzi doesn’t work. A/C is not working. Breakfast time coffee, milk and juice empty, did asked front desk stuff for this they said they will fill up later. It’s mean doesn’t matter we eat or not eat. When 2nd night we came back to hotel at midnight we seen room is dirty, no housekeeping service. Then we called front desk but nobody pic our call. After we went front desk to ask then why we didn’t get housekeeping service then they said they don’t do housekeeping service until check out . Doesn’t matter how many night you stay . They said if we need anything like towels , toilet paper, coffee, whatever we have to get from front desk . And we requested for next day housekeeping services they said they will do that and we remind them morning before we leave out they said they will do sure again midnight after came back we seen same story . We was so mad for this and called front desk but no one answered. We went again front desk for ask them but there was another guy he said he don’t know that. I seen some people reviews they were saying room was cleaned. Might be they are stayed one night . If you stay more then one night then you will know that. I never seen any of choice hotel like this garbage hotel. Please never ever stay this hotel.

There are no amenities!! Woke up to someone banging outside at 4:00 AM. Chap in the room next door yelling profanities at him, as his whole family was now awake. NO ONE from the hotel available to take care of matter. Room booked for 2 people. Had one coffee cup (coffee pot not working well) not enough towels, no facecloths. Place needed a good cleaning. Toilet backing up, sink not hooked up to drain properly. When checking had to make a phone call for manager to come, he was in the office behind the desk, we could hear him and therefore obviously he could hear us. He told us he had things to do - I told him that his customers should be coming first, they also had things to do, and that our stay was unsatisfactory. The gardens need attending. Never did find the breakfast that was included. Generally not a good experience and we are in the area once a month and will never stay there again. So much for repeat business!

We really appreciate your input! Please provide as much detail as possible WHAT A DUMP! This hotel should absolutely NOT be a part of the Choice Hotels club as it is a dump and disgusting! As a privilege member for many years I have stayed at numerous Choice hotels and hotels in general and this hotel was by far the worst I have ever seen in my life! Check in took 25 minutes and I booked online and still had to wait! My first blue for the lack of cleanliness should have been when I was handed my keys for 2 rooms and the little envelopes they were inserted in were filthy. The outside of hotel looks like a crack house and at 9:30 at night a shirtless man was drinking beer and smoking at the entrance. I knew then that it was a fleabag motel. We got to our 2 rooms and going up the stairs we all noticed that the boards were rotten and spongy and felt like they would break as soon as we stepped on them. We had rooms 221 & 222 and the minute we opened the doors we knew it was bad. The doors creaked like old screen doors and I immediately noticed that the wall looked like it had blood or dark liquid stained and stripped down it. They both smelled disgusting as well. The bedding was absolutely disgusting and I found a gob of black dog-like hair all over the bed skirt of one bed. The rolling chair at the desk was also covered in hair and the bedspread was filthy. We found the same black like dog hair on the top sheet and we had to peel the blankets off and not use them- we all went to the local Walmart and had to buy pillow cases and blankets to use for the night, I have never had to do that ever before. Upon walking toward the washroom there was a giant dip in the floor that felt like a sink hole and felt like we would go through the floor if we stepped on it. The towels and linens were tattered and ratty, the toilet ran after use and the hair dryer nor TV would work. We didn’t dare shower either. This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and the Choice Hotels Club should absolutely take this this hotel off its list. I see I was charged a $200.00 damage deposit on my credit card and I hope it is returned back on my card promptly. I was charged $107. Plus taxes for each room and I can honestly say that it wasn’t worth $7.00 per room. I would love to demand a refund because of our bad experience with this hotel and for the fact that we had to buy our own bedding. If you don’t believe our experience I ask you to stay in this hotel and request room 222 to see for yourself.

I made a last minute reservation then tried to change it within minutes of making it and these @$$ h0les charged me for the night and refused to refund/alter the reservation. Total scammers who totally discredit the normal friendly people I have meet in BC. If there were only better ways to punish such bad management. Judging from the reviews I found here and elsewhere, they absolutely do not car about what people think of them!!!

Dated and tired property. Rooms smell and feel musty. Beds were average and provided a decent enough sleep. All of that aside, we have never experienced a stay with worse service and hospitality. Our room was not serviced once in the 3 nights that we stayed here. When we asked front desk about it, their response was that daily cleaning was not "standard" and that we had to request this upon check in (no one told us this when we checked in). Given that our room had not been cleaned, we had to go ask front desk for fresh towels a few times, and each time the staff was extremely reluctant and rude as if it was a burdensome request. Owners and staff seem to have no concept of how the hospitality industry works, often answering personal calls on their cell phone while people were waiting to be helped at the front desk. Wifi was spotty, continental breakfast was abysmal. This property is certainly not worth your money and I'm surprised Choice Hotels allows it to operate as a hotel under their chain. Stay somewhere else.
