Nestled in a prime location, Fairmont Tremblant is celebrated for its convenient ski-in/ski-out access and a range of pools, although some guests find the amenities come at a steep price. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness receives high marks with special accolades for the well-maintained rooms and facilities. While the rustic charm and outdoor ambience resonate with guests, the atmosphere can be marred by loud music for some.
Opinions on the rooms vary, with cleanliness and comfort noted, but noise and dated decor detract from the experience for others. Service is generally lauded for being attentive, yet some visitors have faced challenges with valet and check-in. The value proposition is contentious, as unexpected charges lead a number of travelers to question the overall cost versus benefit of their stay.

Hotel's Favorite
We stay a couple of weeks per year here, every year, for more than a decade. In some of my reviews in recent years, I'd expressed some frustration with how the Fairmont Gold product had declined a bit and also how it remained closed, despite the hotel selling it, and then not being able to offer it at the time of the stay. I'm pleased that we were finally able to return to Fairmont Gold at Fairmont Tremblant. First, COVID shut them down, which was understandable. But, the next year they stayed closed while other Fairmont hotels had reopened their Gold floors. The next year, the excuse was they didn't have staff to open it. Finally, they're back, and better than ever after the renovations over last summer and fall.
Our stay was in January, and we booked 2 Gold Rooms, because there were three of us visiting. We were given two really nice rooms, which were side-by-side, and convenient to the lounge and elevators. I'm including several photos of the rooms with this review, and the old yellow carpets are finally gone! The room layout is much improved with some thoughtful features. Finally, there is a large dresser for storing lots of clothes. Even a nice padded bench for putting on ski boots was very welcome. Electrical outlets, USB ports and light switches were all integrated into both sides of the headboard of the bed.
The only feature I miss from the old room, are the coat hooks on the bedroom wall, which were great for hanging ski pants and bathing suits. I know, they look a bit junky, but they really were practical, and we did miss it. They also don't have a boot tray in the room anymore, which would be nice to protect the new carpets.
The bathroom has also been updated, with a glass shower instead of the old bathtub. I have one very minor suggestion to make the bathroom perfect. Please add a towel bar on the wall next to the vanity. The towel bar on the vanity was good for hand towels, but they need the towel bar back on the wall for bath towels.
It seemed all of the staff on Fairmont Gold were new to the hotel, as many of the legacy staff had moved on during the COVID pandemic, but they were all very professional. We missed the old familiar faces, like Jessica, we had gotten to know over the years, but the new staff are great, so it appears that Fairmont Gold at Tremblant is in good hands.
The Fairmont Gold lounge also received a makeover, with new carpets, paint, furniture and appliances in the kitchen area. The changes started with the Gold Concierge desk, which has now been moved outside but right in front of the Gold Lounge, right off the elevators. The overall size and shape of the lounge remains the same, but with the addition of a seating area where the Concierge desk used to be, by the lounge washroom. There are tables of various sizes to accommodate groups of various sizes. The food offered was very good. The nice coffee machine was nice for making specialty coffees and lattes, and we made great use of it, but I would suggest the hotel also put out a pot of already-made coffee at breakfast as a faster option.
The other big change since our last visit is with the outdoor pools. They removed the old outdoor pool completely back in the spring, and rebuilt it over the summer. It looks like they are mostly finished, but with a few landscaping updates to be done. They have a outdoor pool and a cold plunge pool on the lower deck by the entrance to the indoor pool. The hot tub has been moved to an upper deck on the edge of the ski hill. It looks like the rebuild of the ski-out next to the pools resulted in the loss of the trees at the edge of the walkway, so I hope they add some in the spring.
Most other aspects of the hotel are the same as before, since all of the restaurants and common areas were already updated in recent years. The restaurants are still great, as we enjoyed a couple of nice meals in Axe lounge, as well as a nice dinner in Choux Gras.
It was a great stay, and we're already booked to return again next winter.

We’ve stayed in several Fairmont properties and this one was clean but fairly dated with tubs and shower curtains in the bathrooms. The location can’t be beat at the base of the mountain with ski In/out, ski rentals and lift kiosk right in the lobby. The quaint village is right outside the hotel, conveniently walking distance to a number of decent food establishments. The hotel activities are thoughtful with a champagne apres ski bar and marshmallows by the open fire pit. They also include snow tubing and free ice skates as part of your stay at the hotel. The heated indoor/outdoor pool was overly chlorinated and so packed with jumping children and patrons that it was more reminiscent of a public pool rather than that of a luxury hotel. The hospitality of the staff was fantastic and the room service very punctual and delicious. Axe, hotel bar on the property, had nice cocktails and good food. Lastly someone in our travel party discovered bed bugs in their room and had to be moved, so I think that’s important to disclose when reviewing the property. This resort is more geared toward family vacations with children rather than a luxury getaway.

We stayed here for one night this summer. Great service! Felt safe all the time.
We were upgraded to bigger room but it was small - not sure how small was the room we originally booked. We don't spend a lot of time in the room so it didn't bother us. There was a full kitchen and table for 4 people so if you plan to cook you have everything there.
We used Pool Area - had to make 2 hrs reservation but it was excellent and clean. There is also a bar at the pool area with waitress.
Hotel is well located. There was a Valet parking but you can also park for free at the beginning of the village ( 5 min walk to save 30$)
They did excellent job with Covid precautions.
It was a great experience we would be back :)

When we got to the hotel, the staff members were decently friendly. It was a very long wait to be accommodated. The room was okay, a little dark but a nice view of the town. The ski shop is very nice and accommodating. That night, we had room service and m 8 year old relative got sick and was throwing up. Not a pretty sight. We planned to leave a night early so we went to the hotel lobby and asked to leave and they told us that we would be charged for that extra night and other expenses! We immediately complained so they offered us a free drink! A free drink! That, I find is pretty ridiculous. It's like saying you must stay here, with a sick child or you pay an extra $300.00. Absurd. Then I went out for lunch and I had to use the restroom so I searched the restaurant for a restroom. I couldn't find one so I asked our waitress and she told me that the nearest washroom was located in the lobby which was a good 300 feet away which I don't think is very convenient. The day before I ordered a sandwich which had a chunk of hair in it. I found this hotel disgusting and a rip off. Very disappointing.

We stayed at this hotel due to it’s location but also because of the high standards that are consistent with Fairmont properties. We have stayed in Fairmont hotels around the world and never been disappointed; however our King room at Fairmont Tremblant was old and dingy- with the old bathtub and fixtures in a small bathroom and carpets that need replacing. At a price of $600-800 for 2 nights (2 for 1 special promo) this hotel is overpriced- no breakfast or anything included either. The staff were friendly and efficient and the outdoor pools were a benefit. We will stay elsewhere next time.

We wanted to go all out for our trip to celebrate my husband's remission and surviving the trauma of his illness. The Fairmont was was beyond what we would normally pay @ over $900/night, but we had some credit card points and decided to splurge. I don't care who you are, but when you spend that kind of money you expect excellence and anything but ordinary. Aside from the convenience of the ski in and out and the pool and hot tub, which my 11 year old loved, it was unremarkable. Did I mention that they charge $27 additional to valet your car? The room was small and not very well appointed (I could have been in a holiday inn express). The first full day we were there housekeeping didn't even come until after 4pm. There was mildew in the shower and no robe available for my daughter when I requested one. The poolside drink service is nice, but one person working the pool area wasn't enough to handle the amount of people that were there. Poor planning. The room was so hot we had to open the window, which opened to the front of the hotel, so it was noisy. While I appreciate that it was a busy week it is exactly at that time I would think they would take the extra time and effort to shine to draw people back to their property. When I did mention that there was mildew in the shower, I was told that a manager would contact me. Upon checking out we waited FOREVER for a bellman. It's been 6 days since we checked out and I've heard nothing. I'v stayed in many places that have and deserve the "5 Star rating" this isn't one of them.

Like everyone we were keen to have a break away from home and the Fairmont Tremblant seemed a great option. What a disappointment!! A lot of the measures put into place seem to limit the number of staff needed to maintain the property including no regular room cleaning, no re- supply of towels or other items without having to call, and limited restaurant hours. Other systems like booking the pool make sense but staff are in the impossible situation of needing to monitor each pool for the number of people as the reservation includes both the inside and outside pools. It would be better to separate booking for indoor and outdoor pools to minimize this. Finally, outside of the front desk area and car valets, I was shocked by the number of staff wearing loose fitting or masks not over their noses! Overall take a pass - even with a promotional rate it doesn’t warrant the current quality of stay. We will wait until post- covid to take another go at this property.

I'm going to say our stay was Good, not excellent. No one told us when checking in that our rooms would not be cleaned or replenished. We only found out after 2nd night when we needed more tea/coffee.
We were then told due to COVID they could not clean the rooms.
For such a high rated hotel they don't have water in the rooms. 1st night we needed to purchase an EXTRA bottle of water at the restaurant to bring with us to the room. Following day we needed to drive to a gas station to purchase bottled water (Mineral).
Bellboys were excellent upon our arrival and were always accommodating.
In two separate occasions, I asked where I can purchase coffee/tea as i would like to sit in the outside deck... they sent me to the lower floor for pastries and coffee/tea. It was always closed or the person attending it was not there... so annoying. People were friendly, they are all wearing masks, which i know is hard and highly respect them. They made sure things were sanitized, and people coming in and out were also wearing Masks. For the money you pay you receive nothing extra due to COVID everything is restricted or closed.

After an arduous 9 months of working from home, ski day was in order. Winds N Waters packed up the car, with skis and all the equipment, armed with a VISA, we set off to Mont-Tremblant. 2 nights was superb, with inform dining at its very best. The highlight of the two nights was the food and service. The chef and his team do the best eggs ever for breakfast in room no less.A perfectly cooked eggs over easy and eggs Benedict were 11/10. The other fair months could certainly learn a thing or too !!! The other dishes for dinner were equally impressive: Veg Chilli, Steak frites, Parpadelle - all 10/10 for taste presentation and pure yumminess. The service from the entire staff was impeccable, and I am grateful for their dedication, Overall, an excellent stay. Good value for money - not quite, but you have to realize you are paying for location, ease of access to ski, which makes it well worth it, except they weirdly double prices for Feb 15 as its family day in Canada, but not Quebec. Do you really think that the tourists will show up? At double the price?

Dear WindsNWaters, Thank you very much for your review. We are delighted to hear that your enjoyed your ski stay with us. I was happy to share your kind words with our Chef. He was quite proud to see that you awarded a 11/10 score on the eggs benedict. Also, we truly appreciate your comments about the service extended to you by our staff. Mid February is a period of high demand in normal circumstances. Of course this year is quite different with travel limitations. We value your feedback and are always looking to fulfill our mission to provide the best possible experience for our guests. We truly hope to welcome you again. Natalie Johnson

Absolutely loved our stay at Fairmont Tremblant. We came with our four children and small dog so booked two standard rooms with connecting doors- they were clean and were well stocked with towels pillows and coffee!
The staff were incredibly friendly and could not help enough, I had forgot a nappy on the first night and asked reception if they could help and they did!
From being met at the doors with umbrellas on wet days, to freshly baked dog treats they touches were great.
The free wifi in the room was more than adequate to allow four kids to play on devices without a glitch!
The location is incredible!
The pools were the perfect temperature to play out in all weathers!
My only downside was when I rang to extend our stay the booking operator (Direct with the fairmont) told me she had a cheaper rate for our rooms, so she changed it- failing to mention that it was cheaper because the breakfast option had been removed.

The pools are not connected. There is an indoor pool and a separate hot tub. Outside there are two pools and one hot tub. One pool was not heated and the other pool was more like a giant hot tub. I’ve never been in the winter so not sure if it is heated. Can’t help you about childcare - sorry! Have fun! It’s a fun place to stay!
When we were there in July, the pool was heated, don’t know the temperature but it was very comfortable.
Don’t drive unless u r very confident, traffic is a nightmare at rush hour. It took us 4 hours once. There’s a large desk right by the exit, as u walk out to street. When u come out with luggage, head for the far right street exit n you’ll c it. They’re very helpful. Google Skybus Montreal to Tremblant for times as they’re a reliable mode of transport xx
You need to ask for your car, it will depend where they park it...
The ski storage (ski valet) is on the T floor right next to the ski rental place. Hand in your skis and they give you a numbered ticket. When you want to go skiing just give them your ticket and they will give you your skis. There is no charge but I tipped at the end of my stay because they are very helpful.
Poles and boots are kept in your room. There is no problem walking to your room in your boots. The lifts are right outside the ski valet so you don't have to walk far.
