Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant boasts spacious rooms with scenic views, though some guests suggest they could benefit from renovation. The hotel's atmosphere is generally welcoming, with a particular charm, but the vibrancy of some common areas, like the pool, may not meet all expectations. While the range of amenities is appreciated for catering to families and recreation seekers, certain aspects reportedly require enhancement.
Opinions on service and value are mixed, with praise for staff friendliness contrasting concerns over value and service inconsistencies. Cleanliness receives commendation, but housekeeping appears to fluctuate.

Detailed Reviews
This is our second year staying at the Grand Lodge. If you’re coming for the view and access to lake activities, you’re coming to the right place. And if you’re interested in having the Tremblant experience without being in its busy downtown core, this is absolutely the best place to stay. If you have kids, too, this is certainly a great place to enjoy because of proximity to free outdoor activities. It’s a bit pricey for lodging, certainly not the most expensive in the area, however when you take into account how the lodge is faring in the pandemic, you might struggle justifying the cost of staying here when you take note of the many repairs and shortcomings there are in the room experience itself. Some of the lights in rooms didn’t work, including the patio light, the blow dryer was broken, the screen door had a long tear in it and you could see evidence of this across the back of the lodge looking in in other balconies. The key cards needed several turns being re- magnetized which was a nuisance when each time the woman at the front desk acted as though it was some dramatic event that needed someone else to handle. We stayed close to two weeks at the lodge and were told to expect a “hotel room cleaning” every 3 days which is silly because they only ever came twice for a through clean and that’s only because we had to call to ask for the second clean. The lodge is very clear their priority is new guests arriving. When we had to call for our second of the two cleanings we had to explain to the cleaning staff what needed to be done (legitimately had to explain the concept of “clean our room” directly to the woman assigned to do it. She ran after me in the hall asking “but what should I do?” I later learned she was new.) When We returned to the room, it hadn’t been cleaned at all, but towels had been replaced and the bed made up. The lodge made up for this strange error with a 9am knock at the door we weren’t expecting for a cleaning do over. I recommend bringing your own broom because with a beach on site and no guarantee of a regular clean (or even a proper one), you’ll want to have clean floors. At least this was something I thought of after having dealt with the same issues last summer. The lodge is definitely rationing supplies, making it super uncomfortable when we had to call nearly every other night for towels or toilet paper or dish detergent. The staff are prompt at delivering on requests, aside from the woman at the front of the lodge, but it makes you wonder why you’re paying so much for so little inside the hotel. The view and access to activities might be enough to justify the cost of staying here, however after giving the lodge a try two years in a row, I might be looking into different accommodations for next year.

My family of 5 stayed three nights and were impressed with all the COVID measures. Masks are worn indoors by staff and guests, arrows provide for for one way people traffic, hand sanitizer at all entrances and hotel very clean. We stayed in a lakefront suite and kitchen had everything we needed. We cooked all our meals in our room to avoid restaurants and such. Only improvement to room would be to add a TV to the separate bedroom. Bicycle storage was convenient and appreciated. Also great, that some bike trails start at the lodge. Beach had lots of room and staff was available to wash beach chairs. Would be nice to have a reservation system for kayaks and canoes, but it all worked out. I felt very safe here and would return again.

Not sure why is the Lodge rated at 3 stars only? I would give it minimum 4. I am spending Valentine Weekend with my wife this strange corona year, and despite many restrictions, the Lodge did all they could to make our stay as memorable as always. This is our third stay in the Lodge over the years. It is not the cheapest lodging in the Mont Tremblant region. But, I would always argue that very penny you pay for yours stay is more than worth the value you get for it.
Hotel is relatively old. It was built in 90-ties and is made mainly from wood logs. Restaurant (unfortunately closed now, thanks to corona rules) is something spectacular. We visited it for breakfast during all of our previous stays at Mont Tremblant at least once (when we were not guests of the Lodge). High ceiling, huge wooden logs, view of the lake, very nice staff and excellent choice and quality (not like Cuba, but the best in Quebec) of food – if I could have just stayed in restaurant for all the time, I would have probably not go anywhere else around, which would be pity.
The rooms are very well designed, and most importantly, very well maintained. Beds, closets, lockers, chests – everything was made of solid wood. Add a very nice fireplace (gas based, you just turn the button), beautiful and spacious terrace with solid wood balcony fence, all is so well incorporated into the breathtaking scenery in front of the Ouimet lake. When booking your stay in this hotel, make sure you take the room with view of the lake. Difference in price is way smaller than the difference in experience.
We visited this site in winter, summer, and autumn. I am not really sure when did I like this place the best.

We came for a visit during covid, looking for a quiet getaway. The hotel took many covid precautions. We rarely saw anyone in the lobby or hallway, there was sanitizer available everywhere, and everyone wore a mask. The deluxe suite was fantastic! We had a very clean and beautifully renovated apartment with a great view of the water. The beach was quiet and there were plenty of beach chairs available. We loved it and hope to return next year!

This was our family's third consecutive summer stay at Le Grand Lodge and it was the best one yet! The value that you get from the resort is excellent. The suite is large with a bedroom and three beds, plus a kitchen plus two bathrooms. Our balcony provided us with an incredible view of the lake, sunsets, stars and even a lightening storm (as it is covered). The private beach on Lac Ouimet is great for building sand structures and there are many loungers for catching rays. The lake is shallow with a nice sand bottom. There are pedal boats, canoes and kayaks to use for free. Our teenagers rented paddle boards. There is a bonfire each night so bring your own marshmallows to roast.
The location is great as it is a five minute drive to both Tremblant resort or the restaurants and shops of St. Jovite. The customer service this stay was very friendly and helpful.
The only downside is that during our last stay the dinners we had at the hotel were much better. Apparently they have changed chefs and it showed. We only ate once in the hotel. The breakfast buffet is very expensive and they automatically add a gratuity on to every meal. But we just bought and brought our own food for breakfasts and lunches. We are looking forward to our next stay at Le Grand Lodge, hopefully to ski in the winter next time!

We stayed 5 nights this year during the COVID pandemic and they really did an amazing job keeping the resort safe and clean for all. Thank you Grande Lodge!
We have been coming here for 15+ years and still love it. It has a bit of everything for everyone. Is it perfect, no....but when something does not go as planned (which does not happen very often) they know how to take care of their customers.
Staff are always helpful and friendly. If you do your research before your stay and bring what you will need your trip should be fully enjoyable and then some.
Tips: items not in kitchen; measuring cup, scissors, strong coffee (I bring my own filters and grinds, they have pre measured packs to toss into the brewer, but not very strong once brewed).

We stayed in a Suite Soleil for a couple of nights for Canadian Thanksgiving. We wanted to Enjoy the colours of Fall. We were not disappointed. The Grand Lodge delivers with a gorgeous on lake setting. Our suite was not lake view, but mountain side was just as gorgeous. Rooms are extremely comfortable. Beds are amazing.
Covid-19 meant no housekeeping daily, but after 3 nights, but we did ask for a change of towels. Sanitary restrictions meant no luggage cart, so make sure your luggage has wheels as it’s quite a walk to elevator. Masks are mandatory in all public spaces and hallways. The only reason I’m not giving top rating is because we ordered room service, and the selection for lunch and dinner is very limited. I asked for a bun less burger with salad but they got me fries. Not too serious, and I didn’t call them back about it as we were really hungry. The main elevator has restrictions on users from same family or suite at a time, but other elevator doesn’t have any indications. They should either restrict the other one to employees or impose same restrictions. Personnel is extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

My famiky decided to return to Le Grand Lodge for a vacation knowing that most of its amenities were outside and operating. Our overall stay was very good. We loved the beach, free use of canoes and kayaks, paddleboarding, nightly bonfire and the restaurant food for both takeout and on the outdoor patio. The location is great as you are also a few minutes from both the town and Tremblant resort.
The room itself was very good space wise with a kitchenette, but the bed in the bedroom was far more comfortable than either the much smaller Murphy bed and pull out sofa bed. Our family was going to partially resolve this by changing beds when the sheets were changed by housekeeping after the third night as we had been told. That never happened even after four requests over two days. The main toilet also didn't flush properly even after maintenance came to fix it. Having two full bathrooms was very useful though.
Even after I discussed with the front desk person my disatisfaction with having no room clean up throughout our five nights, nothing was done, not even an apology for the inconvenience. This was a disappointment as usually their customer service is quite good.
We would stay again at Le Grand Lodge, but maybe for not as long if the rooms are not going to be cleaned at all during a stay.

The view from the room is breathtaking. Especially in the morning. The location close to the lake and the activities at no extra cost that come with it ( Canoe, Kayak, etc.) Make it a great family destination even with toddlers. Being close to the National Park of Mont-Tremblant and the Station, makes the hotel very convenient and less expensive option compared to other lodging facilities in the area. Bring your tennis rackets and your bikes if you have any. Otherwise there is different trails nearby with different degrees of difficulty. We definitely will go back.

My family has stayed many times at the Grand Lodge over the years, starting back in July 2007. My guess is that over the half-dozen or so stays over the years. We were big fans until this past weekend as the place is really struggling in the post-COVID environment.
First, the room simply wasn’t properly prepared, with virtually no toilet paper or other basic amenities. They are limiting room servicing, but rooms should be fully stocked for new guests.
Second, the breakfast is now a sad version of its former self. For a vegetarian, there is almost nothing. No egg choices beyond bulk scrambled, no cereal, few vegetables, limited fruit, etc. The cost remains the same and the breakfast that is indistinguishable from a motel. Indeed, I asked several times when I was told that even hard boiled eggs were unavailable. The reason given was that there was insufficient staff. I don’t believe that’s a reasonable answer given that I’m paying full price for the breakfast.
Third, I find it incredible that there is no availability of things like bottled water on site (either complimentary or for purchase). Given the various activities and star status, those kinds of basic amenities and services (especially given that there are no easy options nearby) are a must.
Facilities are still nice and the setting is definitely lovely. But if you’ve been before, it is no longer what it once was.
