We arrived at 3:30 with a sign that said go to Lizard Creek Lodge to check in. I was told if we were there before 4 we could check in at our Lodge. We had to drive over to Lizard Creek to get the keys. I needed extra pillows and blankets so I called to have some brought and after... More

No air conditioning we were so hot dying in the rooms plus 30 temp sucked so bad. The bathroom was nice tho. They did have a fan but it just wasn't enough. Ended up leaving the fridge open and fan in front of just for a little relief. Understand it's a skiing lodge but come one who doesn't have air... More

We were disappointed in the Slopeside lodge when we stayed there. The lady that we checked in with was rude and gave little information about our lift tickets. They were valid for our three day stay, however one of the lifts was only open for one of the days that we stayed and that would have been good information to... More

Worst hotel ever! I live in Calgary and booked with this hotel for leisure I called a month ahead to book for an overnight trip, and all you get are voicemails even on their office hours. I didn't get a call back until after two days. The rep I spoke with is extremely rude and told me that she'll send... More

Booked this place as we wanted to get away from Calgary for a few days at the end of our holiday. Arrived at 7:00 pm and there were no staff on duty, just a phone to call someone at a another nearby lodge. I had to go over to the their lodge to book in and collect my key, had... More

This is an economy hotel no doubt however it is obviously well maintained. The rooms are clean. For an older hotel it has been kept in very nice shape. The best part is however the proximity to the ticket sales and lifts. They have lockers to store your gear and a place to get suited up for a day of... More

We stayed a couple of nights to ski. Location and wifi were great. If you don't want to eat on hill at night, its a quick drive into Fernie where we had a couple of excellent meals. The room is basic. Appreciated having a micro wave and fridge. There is lots of morning activity noise outside between garbage pick ups... More

We stayed here twice - both times were spontaneous decisions mostly due to getting a great deal here (and good snow). It's not a luxury hotel by far, but it is excellent value for money - ski in ski out at Fernie, hard to ask for more! The rooms are plain, the beds aren't great and the bed linen is... More

I stayed here for four nights and found it good price for what it was worth. No frills. Simple. My room was clean. Always used the microwave, coffee maker and hairdryer daily. I was on first floor, so I found the walking upstairs and in the hall quite loud (maybe because it's an older building). Good walking distances to other... More

We stayed at the Slope side lodge for a few days in Feb. Beds were very small for two people but room was clean and tidy. Not a whole lot of noise reduction through the walls so something to be aware of- maybe ask for a quiet room. A roadwork truck tends to drive right by the lodge around 8am... More

Appreciate all your input. Yes - the roadway can be noisy as we get tons of snow in Fernie and the plow trucks, graders and loaders need to sometimes go 24hrs or more just to keep up and keep the roadway cleared...Hey but we like snow and the our legend named 'Griz' who makes it snow so much here!
