A pleasant property, nice water view, furniture some what older but still very clean. For people with handicaps, this isn't the place to go if you have problems with wheelchairs or climbinb stairs. The bathroom is up 10 steps from the main area, but close to the bedroom.

Hi there. There is no road bridge to Vancouver Island so your two choices are to fly to Victoria or to catch one of the ferries. There are a few different ferry options. The most frequent service to the island is offered by BC Ferries, and for visiting Sooke you would need to arrive at Swartz Bay terminal, north of Victoria. This service departs from Tsawwassen, south of Vancouver so you could fly to Vancouver and then get the ferry across from there. These ferry crossings take foot passengers and vehicles, so you might want to consider renting a vehicle at Vancouver Airport because you will need one when you disembark in order to get to Sooke, which is about an hour's drive from Swartz Bay. Alternatively there is a foot passenger only ferry service between Seattle and Victoria Harbour named the Victoria Clipper. It's a fast service but you will need to rent a vehicle in Victoria and then drive about 40 minutes to Sooke. Black Ball Ferries offers also offers a service to Victoria Harbour, this time leaving from Port Angeles north of Seattle. This is also a vehicle ferry so you could fly to Seattle and then rent a car to get to Port Angeles and on to Sooke after the crossing. So there are several options but I recommend checking the ferry schedules to see how the match up to flight arrivals at either Seattle or Vancouver Airport. I do hope you make it out to stay at Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina though, as it's a wonderful vacation location. Warmest regards, Nigel Keatley, General Manager of Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina.

Are there air conditioners in the suites?
There are no air conditioners in our suites. Because we are so close to the ocean, we often just open a window and the ocean breeze cools our accommodations if they are warm.

Hi Calder_Girl, Upon arrival in the suite a guest will have been supplied with the following amenities: • Small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, soap bar and make-up wipes in all bathrooms. Resupplies (within reason) available from the Front Desk but not by Housekeeping. • 12-cup coffee maker, various brands (Oster, Procter-Silex etc), two packs of Starbucks non-filter coffee (one regular, one decaff), resupplies available for a small charge at Front Desk. Filters also available (at no charge) from the Front Desk if they prefer to resupply themselves. Sachets of creamer and sugar supplied. • Toilet paper, paper towel supplied, salt and pepper supplied, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher tablets supplied. • All bedroom and bathroom linens are supplied but there is no daily Housekeeping service. Washer and dryer in units so there is a pack of detergent and softener included with additional packs available for purchase from the Front Desk. I hope that answers your questions but please contact us if you require more information, 1-866-616-3236. Warmest Regards, Katie Wallace, Director of Sales & Marketing
