My wife and I spent 2 nights here in late, snowy March. The auberge (inn) is conveniently located near the centre of the village, the rail trail and a little park. I wasn't expecting too much for an inn, but the place was clean, the staff helpful and the breakfast delicious! The rooms are very basic, the shower is kind... More

Small convenient hotel in a picturesque river setting right next to the rail trail. Rooms are fresh, clean and tidy. Plus a nice breakfast, all at a reasonable price. Be warned though, while still highly regarded the locally renowned restaurant here recently went totally Italian - none of that great French cuisine anymore. I didn't drive all the way from... More

When we travel I most often use tripadvisor to evaluate dining and lodging and I hope this helps others do the same. First the lodging. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and in a quaint setting with a perfect location, a short walk to town. Couldn't beat the outside deck for a beer or glass of wine, looking at the river... More

Stayed here in 2011 when we first cycled the P’tit Train du Nord and were looking forward to our return visit. Great location. Smallish rooms but we went primarily for the food again. Rooms are not air conditioned and with one small window in the room I would imagine they could be quite uncomfortable in mid-summer. Unfortunately (for us) their... More

Three friends and I bought a four day/three night biking tour stopping at 3 B&B's along the way. We stayed at Creux du Vent on our last night...the restaurant was under construction so we got $30 out of $90 back to find dinner downtown. That was very disappointing as their reviews for food was quite good. Our rooms were upstairs... More

just spent the week -end at this auberge. The location is excellent directly on the P'tite train du Nord trail. Room was small but clean and sufficient. Had dinner there which was good, however would not recommend if you like a good breakfast. Choices are very limited and the portions very small. We chose the omlette which was good but... More

We recently stayed during a 4 day bike trip along the P'tite Train du Nord. The location of the inn is very convenient, as it is just steps away from the bike path, and across from the river. Our room was quite nice, albeit a wee bit on the small side. But the BEST thing about this inn...the incredible meals!... More

We recently stayed at Le Creux Du Vent for 8 days during our honeymoon. The hotel sits in a beautiful spot by the river, and has been nicely appointed for traveler's needs. The restaurant is great - Chef Bernard's creations are magnificent. Breakfast was very good every day, and the attention of our hosts, Brigitte and Bernard, was polite but... More

A stop on Le P'tit Train du Nord bicycle trail, this inn is right off the trail, convenient to the town of Val David, which has a number of interesting shops and galleries. The rooms are comfortable and the dinner and breakfast we had were oustanding. Friendly hosts and staff. It's true there is no AC, but we were provided... More
