We stayed here three nights. Very comfortable room and amazing breakfasts. Kimberley is an interesting area especially for bicyclists, mountain and/or road bikes. The owners are very personable and helpful with suggestions of things to see in the area.
We spent two nights in Kimberly and had a lovely time. Anja and Theo were greats hosts. The room and washroom were very clean and had all the necessities. There is a common fridge you can use if needed and a tea and coffee station on each floor. It was very quiet at night, no issues sleeping. It is a good location. Walking distance to town and across the street from what we hear is the best restaurant in town (we didn’t make it there unfortunately). Breakfast was excellent as well. Fresh fruit, home baked breads, made to order eggs and more.
I was in the Kimberley area for 3 days and two nights in January. Anja and Theo were excellent hosts and very friendly. The breakfasts were excellent. Place has an Austrian feel, lots of wood. Everything you would need is in the room (shampoo, hair dryers etc). A shared fridge in the hall was a useful item. The hot tub was great after the one afternoon I went skiing, they included a robe in the room to get to the tub.
Anya was a stellar host for our 2-day stay at Alpenglow. Beautiful, comfy beds and rooms, spotless, warm, welcoming, casual. Inviting and well-maintained hot tub available, and 2 of the most delicious breakfasts I've ever had. (Eggs Benny and croissants on a par with those in Europe) Also, Anya gave us a great recommendation for the German restaurant across the road - Baeurnhaus Restaurant -- a memorable 'Feast'! Topping it off was excellent skiing on the Kimberley hill practically next door - huge snowfall the day before we arrived, so timing was great. All in all, a very special few days. We'll be booking at Alpenglow again next time we're in Kimberley. Thanks again, Anya and Theo.
My friend and I stayed at the Alpenglow bnb for a week in the middle of August and it was a fantastic experience! Anja and Theo were fantastic hosts, the food was always delicious and the beds incredibly comfortable. The location is very convenient, just a few minutes walk from downtown Kimberly with its brilliant restaurants and shops, and a short drive from many other interesting locations. Anja had no problem catering to a special gluten free diet and the house was always neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend, and would love to stay there again!
