Spacious and cozy B&B, no pets, no smoking. Feel at home in European style house with spacious, comfortable, wood crafted rooms. All our four rooms have private bathrooms. Enjoy a delicious home cooked breakfast complimented with fresh fruit, we make our own breads, jams and everything we serve is made from scratch. Relax in the hot tub our quiet green garden. Our house is situated in a very quiet neighborhood. Kimberley is perfect for summer and winter holidays. In the summer there are many excellent golf courses nearby, hike and (mountain) bike trails, lakes for swimming and sun bathing, waterfalls, rafting, fly fishing, Fort Steele heritage town, the mine museum or just visit cozy, car free down town Kimberley with nice shops and restaurants. In the winter: we are close to the ski hill (only two minutes) and cross country skiing or snow shoeing starts in our back yard! Down town Kimberley is only a 5 minutes (short cut) walk and we are across from the well known restaurant The Old Bauernhaus.

We really enjoyed staying here! The breakfast was amazing!! The host were super friendly -giving suggestions of things to see and do. The hottub was great after we did some of those things( hiking & bike riding) The bed was super comfortable and we liked the self serve tea in the evening. Would 100% stay here again. Bring your slippers , you take your shoes off at the door( but they have some if you forget)

Anja and Theo are excellent hosts. This B&B is in a nice location close to golf and skiing with easy access to downtown and the main highway. The rooms and common areas are very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were all excellent and flexible. Homemade breads and jams top it off! They are always aware of food allergies and intolerances as well as preferences. The rooms are quiet and very functional. We had a private bathroom and that was very nice. Easy parking. The hosts are very attentive and communicative and offer lots of insights and recommendations for touring. Staying here was an excellent opportunity to meet other guests from varied backgrounds and places. Breakfast conversations were always enjoyable. This accommodation is highly recommended!

The hosts do speak various languages due to their European background

There was not much not to like. The Alpenglow delivered on its commitments and pressed all the right buttons for a great stay. There is no air conditioning but nights are cool which allowed for expected comfort. We were not at B&B during the day.

Our 3-night stay at the Alpenglow B&B was nothing short of excellent. Our room was very cute, spacious, and immaculate with easy access to the outdoor hot tub. Anja and Theo were great hosts who ensured we had everything we needed, provided us with great advice for local food/activities, and prepared us the most delicious breakfasts every morning.
In response to Covid, room bookings were restricted to one room per floor with no shared bathrooms to minimize exposure and hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes were provided all over the facility. We felt very safe knowing these safeguards were in place.
Overall Alpenglow B&B made our vacation incredibly enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend. We definitely look forward to coming back!

What a wonderful stay! My dad and I came in very late on our day of arrival and were welcomed right away by Anja. She showed us our cozy room, with an on suit bathroom and we spent the rest of the night relaxing. The next morning we went upstairs for breakfast where we had a delicious plate of fresh breads, eggs, yogurt, fruits, and so much more. It was absolutely delicious!! It was also very nice to talk with the other guests and have our own little community within the B&B. The rest of our trip was just as wonderful and breakfast was more delicious day by day! We can’t wait to come back with family, Anja made our stay stress free, easy, and relaxing. Such a hidden gem in Kimberley!

We really enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast. Our welcoming hosts, Anja and Theo, ensured we had everything for a comfortable, delicious stay. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Hooks were great for hanging our damp xcountry ski clothes which dried overnight.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! Anje and Theo, our hosts, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The homemade breakfasts were amazing each morning - Anje even makes her own breads and jams!! The hosts were very friendly - giving suggestions of things to see and do. The walking trails were close by and well groomed. The bed was super comfortable and we liked the self serve tea in the evening. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

What a lovely B&B this is, with hosts that are totally cut out to run such a business.
Very service oriented and personable.
Alpenglow has a total of 5 rooms on different levels, we opted for the room with shared bath (literally few steps from your room) as this is a room with direct garden access which came in very handy with the nice weather we had and being able to utilize the outdoor furniture. There is also a hot tub that guests are allowed to use.

Anja’s breakfasts are delicious, varied and plenty full. (We stayed for 3 nights)
We also appreciated being able to store our bikes in the garage overnight.

Some fun things to do in summer is biking the Northstar rails to trails from Kimberly to Cranbrook (26km paved bike path each way) or the chief Isadora bike trail from Kimberly to Wardner (43 km packed gravel bike path each way)
Besides the many hikes in the area, Fort Steele, Kimberly mining tour and the Cranbrook Railway museum are other destinations.

We truly enjoyed our time at Alpenglow.
Anja and Theo, thank you for hosting a few fellow Dutch emigrants. It was “gezellig”!

Awesome bed and breakfast a stones throw away from the resort. It was the perfect resting place after a day on the mountain. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the use of the hot tub was a great touch. In the morning we were treated to an excellent continental breakfast complete with homemade bread and jams, a selection of meats and cheeses and yogurt and fresh fruit. Incredibly good value and the hosts were very polite and accommodating. We all wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We are repeat visitors to this B & B which is The Best in Western Canada. Always welcoming, the hosts are also very helpful in giving advice on activities in the area.
Whether you are there for golf, skiing, or enjoying the many trails, you are in for a real nature break with deer and rabbits being common sights. You are also in for a treat with a warm hearty breakfast, including fresh warm bread and home made jams.
Can't wait to return.

Great stay at this European style B&B. Very quiet and comfortable, loved the cozy duvets. Nice to not have a TV in the room as we could read more and just relax. Hosts were very friendly and helpful regarding suggestions for activities in the area.
We loved the homemade breads and jams!
Great German Restaurant across the street, we look forward to returning!
