Every year on the second week end of January, we have been going to Le Chantecler to celebrate my mom’s anniversary. We have noticed the last couple years that there are less and less people going to Le Chantecler. We understand why now. We recently spent the week end and let me tell you WHAT A DISAPOINTMENT. It isn't even... More

I won one night to this hotel (forfait détente - one night, dinner, and breakfast). with a view of moutain, lake or the woods. Lucky me I got "the woods". So don't expect any discretion...there is no curtain except for net curtain in front a rented house!!! Instead of a 4 services dinner we had....a buffet not so extraordinary. The... More

Small room, small bath room, small TV. The matress was terrible. The hotel is a real maze. The beach was closed for two days for no particular reason, chairs tied up, impossible to rent any boats.

What was planned as a very relaxing week-end turned into a major disappointing stay all because of the inefficiencies of the staff and the manor in which they upkeep (or don't!) the hotel. Our room seemed like something from the 70's/early 80's: cheap wood furniture, stale and dusty blue carpet and basic accessories like remote control, hair dryer, etc. missing... More

It isn't even close by any standards. Despite the setting (beautiful lake, nice natural surroundings), the service is horrible and the pricy rooms are at best comparable to rooms from chain motels. Our room was damp, with grimy bathrooom ceilings and blood stains on the bedsheets. We waited more than 30 minutes for food and beverage service on the terrace,... More

Beautiful setting, nice lake, ... The village is near the hotel (for food, etc) and about 5 minutes north from Saint Sauveur and 30-40 minutes north of Montréal (depending on traffic and construction on highway 15!). Free parking. DIfficult to reach reception to get a wakeup call. Had to call three times to get an answer! The reception area is... More

What a great resort, I don't see why all the other reviewers are so negative. I stayed with my wife and daughter for a weekend, we got a fantastic price on their website, the Ptites Follies Package included the amazing buffet breakfast and tips and gratuities included for 109$CAD. I don't see what there is not to like, also, I... More

Avoid this place...it looks great from the outside and at one time it was..not anymore! The ski hill has been closed for TWO YEARS..guests need to take a shuttle to the other ski hill which is nowhere near the hotel...I was quite shocked to learn this..its almost false advertising when visiting their website. The hotel staff was dis-organized and plain... More

Too bad the landscape is beautiful, because the hotel and the restaurnat are horrible. Very dirty place, especially the toilets in the hotel lobby (with cracked and dirty sinks). The food we had on the Terrase was awful: mushy salad, dry stake (was supposed to be filet minion but it was something else, an inferior meat), the bread was the... More
