Called in for a break whilst on a cycle trip along country lanes. Welcomed warmly and had a magical hour soaking in the calm and the atmosphere. Lovely snack lunch was tasty and apetising. Beer was deep chilled! Perfection. We will return again and again to this special spot, and bring costumes too as there's a welcome to swim. Appreciated the care taken over the gardens and all the many little touches. Good interior design around what we saw, too. Hygiene appeared high.

Great welcome at 2230, we could have a diner at this late hour. Nice appartment, family feeling, Nice swimmingpool. Love the people who work there, nothing is to much to ask. I love Helena, she runs here legs out for everybody. Platinos arrange everything you ask for. GREAT place for a holiday. The cleanup also great

Lovely holiday, apartment adequate in size and cleaned daily. Really friendly place, swimming pool is great for families. Restaurant has a reasonably basic menu, but food is delicious, particularly the moussaka. Great location in the country, fresh breeze. Car is needed however. Would recommend.

Hi, The best part of Spiti Nikos has to be the pool area surrounded by the trees. If you have kids then there is a designated area available, which appears to be well maintained. Bar food/snacks and drinks are available until the end of the day. There are two menus, with one designated as an evening menu. The star of the show at Spiti Nikos was Elena. She ran the bar most of the time single handly. She has charm and is funny and witty at times with her dancing and demeanor. Platonas who runs reception and breakfast was helpful at times with information etc. My room was a studio with one double bed. The room was nice with air conditioning, which is a must due to the heat. I loved opening the balcony doors and looking towards the pool and trees, which is a good sight. The bathroom was refurbished with modern spot lighting and bathroom units and included a large mirror for shaving, which is a big plus. The only negative really was an old looking towel rail, which was rusty. The shower was easy to use over the bath. The kitchen was a different story. This was unfurnished and appeared to have old tiling in a bad way that made it depressing. The lighting in the kitchen was bad too. The bedroom has a separate door to the kitchen making it dark with no extra lighting coming through. I believe this room should be made open-plan somehow to make the kitchen brighter and inviting. I hated this kitchen and cooking in it. The smoke alarm would go off even with a little steam from the kettle and cleaning the electric hob even when cooled down for a while. I will be in a minority here with not having a driving licence. Sorry, but as a solo traveler and having no driving licence is not ideal in Danila. In Danila itself, the traffic is what I regard as busy at times with trucks, motorbikes, and cars going past. I didn't enjoy walking in Danila due to the traffic. I'll be honest, I should have researched much better before selecting the location Danila. Danila "village" (The Durells and For Your Eyes Only was partly filmed here) is owned by the Greco hotel. Currently, you can only get inside via appointment through the hotel. This is not part of Danila itself and has never been a working village, It is simply a museum. Danila itself offers nothing as there is nothing there. It is a hill, with only a small mini-mart nearby and a tapas restaurant that I didn't visit. During this holiday I booked various trips but a warning to all is that Danila is not a "PICKUP POINT.' For every trip starting at around 8 a.m. I had to get a taxi down the hill costing 10 euro a time. Only on a few occasions during daylight I have walked to Gouvia. This takes around 30-40 at a slow pace, remember traffic can be dangerous at times especially if you have headphones on. I didn't fancy walking up the hill in the dark so I had to taxi it back. The street lighting isn't that good and who wants to walk in the dark up a hill? I have back issues which will make walking harder. I had all my best meals in Gouvia, but the hotel serves good quality food, but sorry not the breakfast. I don't believe buffet style cooked breakfasts are the best way of doing it. I would prefer cooked to order. The eggs were soggy under heat lamps with bacon being the same. They did cook some fresh eggs. The cereal wasn't fresh and had gone stale. I don't believe in cereal stored in plastic containers. I'm guessing they have been there for ages. I only had 2 cooked breakfasts as I brought my own cereal from the UK. I believe 4 stars is a fair reflection of the hotel based on the area of Danila and kitchen. I think the hotel was expensive and I paid extra for an area that offered nothing. I prefer areas with restaurants etc, but not too busy with idiots.

From the moment of booking with spiti nikos through expedia the experience was so straight forward. I contact the hotel who was happy to help with any quiries. Myself my wife and our daughter aged 8 stay here from 3-8th August. I was given room 101 which I think was perfect. Close to the pool and ground floor. When arriving hotel staff were friendly, very accommodation and made us feel very welcome. Smiles upon arrival is always nice when you know it's genuine. The apartment complex shall I say is small but it's really got a nice family run business feel to it. We went self catering for 5 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed every minuite of it. Our daughter loved it there and cried when having to leave. My wife and myself felt very at ease with our daughter playing outside alone (which we never normally allowed) however it was very safe. They have an amazing kids park to say on site with a slide, trampoline, swings, adventure playground sort of wooden area . Nice tables for parents to sit and eat or enjoy the sun whilst kids are playing. The pool is very sweet. Having a nice deep end but also shallow for kids and then another sectioned off area for smaller children. There are lots of kittens which are well looked after which our daughter loved to play with.Sun lounges are nice and comfortable and offered share if wanted it. Very nice paradise feel I got when recently went to Bali. Food served was really nice. Steak, meat grill looked and smelt amazing. Reasonably priced at €12 euros and came with chips and salad. Side bread. Our cooking facilities had a fault but notified management and they couldn't have been more helpful. They cooked our meal for us and replaced our cooker facilities the next morning. Free internet (which didn't really work in our room but also available by the bar and pool which was fine. Free air con which was amazing. Cleaners were the best. Very thorough very friendly professional and always had a smile. Bedding replaced and room smelt lush. Good location supermarket up the road 100 metres on the left. Staff there are very sweet so please purchase from there. You may want to rent a car for easy access to gouvia. Bar staff were friendly always smiled. Will defifinatly return next year but with mozzi spray as these things are killers. No fault to hotel though. Thank you and see you next year =)
