This property is for people who like easy camping and being close to their neighbours. We have camped here several times and always have an enjoyable experience. Ask for a spot in the front row so that you have a great view of the ocean and passing cruise ships. The lots are not very big so if you don't like... More

I will try be fair. The campsite is beautiful, well taken care off, immaculate grounds and washrooms. Would not be to my taste when full as there little or no barriers between sites so no privacy but off season that is not an issue. We have had many good stays here, right on the ocean. Great birdwatching. But… I do... More

They do have rules. I like to sleep at night and after spending a few horrid nights with partying neighbours at Pacific Playgrounds next door we were happy to move here to Salmon Point. No kids in the hot tub.......suits us just fine! Wifi quite good, cable better than Thunderbird, free showers (not at the others). I do admit to... More

Stayed at the Salmon Point Resort for a week in late September. Reviewed trip advisor and was also highly recommended by friends. Although the weather was dull the location and quiet of this resort was perfect. Walked the beach every day. Usually opting for a provincial campground decided instead to go for a campsite with full facilities. We found the... More

Just back from Salmon Point Resort RV Park as every year. This summer has been like each year a great summer. The park and marina were (as always) well organized and well kept, the scenery of the ocean, cruise ships, and birds are always a show. Every year is like coming home to a place where everybody from management to... More

We have tent camped here over 20 years. Haven't visited for 15 years but thought it was time to go back. This time we rented the honeymoon suite. Very nice stayed 7 nights. Right on the water. Beautiful view. Casual, layed back. Nice walks along the beach and sat every evening out by the water to see the big cruise... More

I went to Salmon Point pub and restaurant for the first time. The food was great. I had beef dip, and it was the tastiest I've ever had. The prices on the menu were reasonable, a few higher priced but the rest average pricing. To make the visit better was the wonderful views.

Thank you for your lovely comments. I'm glad you had a happy experience at the restaurant. It is indeed a beautiful restaurant with lovely views. You may want to go to the Restaurants Trip Advisor page and post your comments as we are separate businesses and I'm surfe they would like to hear your kind comments. More

Booked for 5 nights and stayed an extra night. Sites are small but lovely trees. Sat out on the big Adirondack chairs on the water every evening with a glass of wine and watched the fisherman come in and the salmon jump. Only negative was the garbage in the dumpsters by the restrooms did not get removed frequently enough.....a very... More

We booked 10 days water frontage and traveled thousands of miles to get there. When we arrived they didn't have a waterfront site available. As per their policy they had received another reservation for longer so they bumped ours to non waterfront without informing us. They did have one spot that they book for motor homes available but since we... More

It is disturbing, for sure, to receive this review. This incident was indeed very unfortunate. I was horrified to hear that a customer had booked 5 weeks ago for a waterfront site only to arrive after a long journey to find that there had been a mistake. The employee that made this booking made a grave error. He understood that... More

Salmon Point campground was one of the worse we've stayed. I was extremely crowded. The RV parking places are very, very close together forcing people to park on the road. When I wanted to leave I had to wake up two people to move their cards so I could get through. The railroad tracks were 15 meters away from the... More

I believe you might be in error with this response. We are located on the ocean halfway between Courtenay and Campbell River. There aren't any railroad tracks anywhere in the vicinity. I believe that the train stopped operating years ago when they offered service to Courtenay which is about 30 km away. Our sites are very spacious and we definitely... More
