Anchor Inn is now probably a good value hotel albeit a little worn around the edges. Pretty sound proof, excellent beds, a clean and tidy room, nice towels, nice helpful staff, and a very nice hot breakfast (bacon, scrambled eggs, homestyle hash browns, toast; your choice is white or brown toast. I think that every room has a view of... More

The 70ish woman at the front desk was disgustingly rude -despite enquiring twice about an early check in - I couldn't get a definite yes- so we checked in 20 min early from "routine check in time" our room still was not ready. I would have left but I couldn't get my money back. The balconies have no privacy so... More

We stayed on the 6th floor and was surprised that there was no elevator going to our floor. Apparently the elevator only goes to the 4th floor. The room was clean but very warm. Once we opened the patio door and got the fan working it seem to cool off. We had people smoking off their balconies so if we... More

Booked on line and then came up to the room. It was 28 Celsius and there was an old dirty fan running. We tried to cancel but was told not a chance. We booked on line. Rooms are old and it definitely shows. Patio balcony is covered in cobwebs so if you have arachnophobia, stay away. From this balcony, the... More

Checked other reviews and admittedly a bit hesitant in checking it out. But long day driving and needed a stop. Older hotel, so asked to see room first. Reception was very pleasant and accommodating. Brand new bed...really comfortable. Clean and quiet. All rooms have a 180 ocean view. No air yet, but told it will be here soon. But cool... More

My wife and I stayed hare on Friday night 25/04/2014 fortunately for only one night. This hotel must have one of the best sites in Campbell River but on arrival it took a long time for the receptionist to acknowledge us,there was no greeting or welcome, we were eventually booked in,but my goodness what a tired old hotel. The room... More

My aunt and I stayed here again on another trip down island. The staff - we had Mallory at the front desk this time - are so friendly & accommodating. The food at the restaurant is great and of course our waitress, Tracey is the best!! Our room was clean and comfortable as usual.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the lady at the front desk. We inquired about the pool and hot tub, since before booking we were sure to ask whether they were working. Another lady who see edit I be the manager decided to intervene and very rudely explained to us that they were not working. I explained that we were... More

Great location, great views, but the rooms are small and old. Everything here needs to be updated from the TV to the beds. Worst sleep both us had in a long time, the beds were so very uncomfortable. All the rooms have a nice balcony or deck, but no privacy from one end of the motel to the other. All... More

Great view through dirty unsealed windows. Distinct smell of mould in rooms. Desperately requires renovation and updating. Be sure to check out the "environmental fee" which is a hotel imposed fee of 2% to cover their extra costs of being on the waterfront. They're $20 more than most of the surrounding motels. I thought that might have covered those extra... More
