The Passage View does have wonderful views from your rooms' back slider door. There's a huge BBQ grill on the back lawn just perfect for grilling up locally purchased seafood. This is an older motel but the furnishing are good and clean. It's just that the older structure has thin walls. If fishermen or loggers or motorcyclists are up early,... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review for the Passage View. August has been a very busy month, so far. I'm sorry to hear that your sleep was disturbed by guests leaving the motel in the early morning. I'm glad you enjoyed the view and our guest bbq. More

One night stay Jul 4, 2015. New owners are working hard to make improvements. Friendly and efficient reception. Fantastic waterfront view from third floor. No elevator but staff willing to help porter luggage. Not air conditioned but sea breeze cooled room especially if entrance door opened for a bit to create cross ventilation through patio door. Weather pushing 30 C... More

We came here just before closing and were given a nice clean kitchenette room. The room had two comfortable queen beds, a flatscreen TV, and a walkout patio with picnic table. There was very friendly service in the office and a beautiful view. Would come back again.

Basic accommodation close to restaurants, coffee shops, gas, etc. Rooms are adequate but well worn. The serene water views are the main attraction. Friendly and welcoming reception. On a busy road but quiet at night.

A clean and comfortable motel, very reasonably priced, close to the centre of campbell river, with access to the beach. Easy to find and plenty of parking. It was interesting to talk to the owner, who had taken over in May, about the improvements she had already made, and what she planned to do.

Passage view was recommended to us by two different people for it's view and value. $100 gets you a more than adequately equipped room with fridge, microwave, free wifi, coffee etc. Front desk service was super friendly and helpful. Wow what a great view we had from the second floor. Be advised this is not a resort or high end... More

Thanks for taking time to write a review for us. I apologize for taking so long to respond. It was pretty hectic around here for the first bit while we were transitioning as the new management. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself at the Passage View. More

Very quiet motel right on the water. spotless room with all the essentials including fridge, coffee maker and good wi-fi. It was nice to leave the french window open and listen to the waves. The reception was very friendly and efficient and the rate good at about $90. Good parking. Located up the hill out of the downtown but still... More

I stayed at the Passage View in September 2014 as part of a west coast tour. As things happen, I stayed in Campbell River twice. The first time I stayed at the Trip Advisor #1 rated motel (and it was not #1 in my books). The second time I followed the recommendations of some traveling companions and stayed at Passage... More

Had a restful and enjoyable stay at the Passage View motel. All rooms face the water and have picnic tables right outside the back door. Watch the eagles fly overhead. About 100 steps takes you down to the waterfront. Lovely place to stay, clean and well maintained. Full kitchen facilities. Friendly and welcoming. Be sure to visit the First Nations... More

It was getting late, raining, and I'd just pulled out of the motel down the road where the room was so smoky it burned my eyes and I demanded my money back. I was almost at the edge of Campbell River and everywhere else was showing No Vacancy. I was getting worried. When I saw the Vacancy sign at Passage... More
