The hotel is in two separate buildings. We stayed in the second, so getting to the pool and front desk required a two minute brisk walk. There's a walking trail right in front of the hotel, which leads to downtown Courtenay. Fireplace, full kitchen, and pull out couch were all in room. Parking was an issue. The lot wasn't big... Loved this hotel. It is quiet and had clean, comfortable rooms. Layouts are roomy and give the feel of home. It's very cozy here and we would definitely stay again if in the area. And with Locals restaurant out the back door you are able to have an amazing dinner and glass of wine without having to drive anywhere.

The hotel, room, amenities and restaurant were all top shelf. Had a wonderful visit. The 'spa' came in very handy. We enjoyed the fact that the hotel was within walking distance to some shops and was easy to find.

Our stay here was great! We stayed one night and had a spa treatment. The front desk staff were very friendly, quick and informative. They made us feel very welcome, offering coffee/tea and cookies as we checked in. The room was beautiful! We had a view of the canal and were entertained by the seals in the mourning. The Front... I regularly travel to Courtenay for work and for over a year I booked the Old House for every trip. The rooms are large and comfortable, the location is great and the best restaurant in town (Locals) is 50 feet from the back door of the hotel. However, last year they cancelled their continental breakfast, which was incredibly convenient for... More

Our room at the Old House was really spacious and featured a cathedral ceiling! With a king sized bed, small dresser, a sofa, table and chairs, electric fireplace, desk and a small kitchenette it really lacked for nothing. The bed was very comfortable with crisp high quality linens. The hotel provided 2 white bath robes in the event that you... More

Just recently stayed at the penthouse suite at this hotel. I would have to say this is definitely the nicest hotel in the comox valley. The penthouse suite is beautiful and has great views of the river. The jacuzzi tub is relaxing and wonderful with a fireplace right next to it. The only thing I didn't like is the upstairs... More

We made reservations for 6 people for 6pm, Table was ready on time, service was slow, we waited about 15 minutes for waitress to take drink order, waited 15 more for drinks and to take our orders. Wait for meal was ok. Food was good but portions very small considering meals were $34.00 each. We ordered a pizza when we... More

We always have enjoyed our stays at this very well run and well situated hotel. However, on our most recent visit I queried my bill at checkout as there were two taxes that I had never seen before. One was called a Destination Marketing Fee (2%) and the other a Resort Fee (2%). When I questioned the front desk staff... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are large and well equipped. We were able to walk to local restaurants and there were some great ones close by. The hotel staff were exceptional. Next time we are in the Comox Valley we will stay here for sure.
