I loved the fresh, clean room with the walkout balcony. Everything was very clean, the bathroom was gorgeous with lots of towels, cloths etc..very nice quality. The beds were clean and comfy. The room was quiet and private, with everything you could need provided. The included breakfast was spectacular with fresh eggs, home fried fresh, potatoes, bacon, sausage..the works! Very tasty!

Hotel's Favorite
We had an unexpected detour due to road closure and arrived by ferry in Port Hardy. We headed south planning to find a place for the night in Campbell River but everything was booked there. We started looking in Courtenay and all was booked there, too. Thankfully, Best Western Waverly had availability. Sohela (I think, forgive me if I got the wrong person) was very welcoming for two tired folks and their two dogs who had a very long day of travelling. He helped find us parking and gave us bottled water. Our room came with free breakfast which was delicious. From the front desk to the waitresses all were friendly and helpful. We left well rested and well fed.

Good hotel, clean, nice staff. I travel for business a lot always stay at BW properties when possible. The only thing is I wish they offered waters to BW elite members, only complaint that I have which is really nothing.

Floor in room was extremely cold, had to have towels on floor in bathroom or freeze our feet. Room also had a funky smell. When I spoke to the front desk she only said oh I am sorry. Parking is terrible at this hotel.

Always a nice stay when traveling up Island. Friendly staff, nice rooms. Close to many restaurants an shops. Lots of parking for large vehicles. The complementary breakfast was really good, lots of choices

A very nice beautiful hotel with very good customer service and and very clean rooms and very good parking and a perfect place to stay when visiting Courtenay and the pub-lounge and restaurant are very god places for to eat or have a drink and the hotel rooms are extremely clean and the front desk is open 24 hours a day. The hotel desk manager Josh looks like John Cooper the lead singer of the Christian heavy metal band Skillet and the hotel manager Jamie looks like actor John Goodman. My stay at this hotel was great, the room was clean, the bed was so comfortable, and there was enough towels already in the room. The breakfast was great and had a lot of hot food to choose from including breakfast burritos.

This was one of the most depressing stays so far. The night checkin member was very nice but obviously overworked for the amount of staff she had to handle on her own. The hotel spent a lot of money updating the lobby and connected restaurants but didn’t spend any of that money upgrading the rooms. You’ll figure that out once you pass through the egress and are transported to another decade with an unpleasant wafting scent. My room actually had a slope, part of the building has sunk noticeably and the head of the bed was on the decline. The morning staff were like zombies.

Was a bit shocked with my check-in and room. Started off great....then downhill from there. Make sure you check your room and ask questions if you have access by elevator. Not once during my check-in was stairs mentioned. Nor did I expect attitude when I arrived in my room to find a used tissue on the carpet and asked if the room was cleaned. When I asked for another room, I was met with attitude and felt like it was my fault and an inconvenience on their part. I was told to leave my luggage in the hall while I ran back down the stairs to collect a new key.....WHAT! Don't get me wrong the next room was clean, the check-out was very pleasant and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We always travel and stay at BW's, but may need to rethink that in some areas.
