From the moment we checked in everything was great. Our room was fantastic, the air conditioner was quiet and kept the room comfortable. The tile in the bathroom floor was heated and so were the towels, we've never been to a hotel or motel with this amenity. Mattress was very comfortable as were all the furnishings in the room. The... Everything done right! The very positive reviews here are right on! Great amenities for a place of its size and location. It may not turn your head from the highway, but once you drive in, you feel the sense of pride of the owners and when you get to your room, you see their sense of great taste, attention to... More

George & Rachel are gracious hosts and make you feel cared for. We concur with the previous 492 rave reviews. This is the only place to stay in Cranbrook. Heated towel racks, amazing beds and linens, flower boxes outside your window, driftwood chairs. Bird sanctuary out back with picnic tables, BBQ's and trees with lights on them...This is THE PLACE... We were blown away. The exterior has a rustic look. Rachel, owner, took us to our room. I can't remember the last time I was taken to my room. The attention to detail was unbelievable. Even the key tags were top notch. The room was large. Beautifully decorated with a rustic yet modern look. Down lights over the bed dual... More

I travel regularly on Highway 3 and whenever possible I try to arrange my trip so that I stopover in Cranbrook, simply because the Elizabeth Lake Lodge is one of the best places to stay between the Okanagan and the Alberta border. My latest stay in mid-July simply reaffirms this assessment. The rooms was spotless, well appointed, and with an... More

We stayed in the new cottages for just one night after exploring the national parks in Alberta and BC. The hotel is located on the edge of town next to a bird sanctuary. Like another reviewer said, this is not your average roadside motel. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. And we slept so well on the king bed... More

We stayed here for two nights while visiting the area for a wedding. Right from our check-in to check-out we were impressed. A lovely family run motel, the most charming children, you are guaranteed a restful stay. It's location on the wetlands adds to the uniqueness of this motel. The rooms are the cleanest we've ever encountered in a roadside... More

This is not your average road side motel. Our hosts were friendly and incredibly helpful. The rooms were thoughtfully outfitted, with heated floors in the bathroom and special provisions for our dog. It was super clean and the bed was really comfortable. In the morning we played a ripping game of mini-golf. Not my normal go-to sport, but it was... More

My husband and I were touring the Kooteneys and found this GEM of a hotel. We were thinking how nice it would be to sit outside somewhere, sipping on a glass of something relaxing and were very pleased to find a place that fit that idea. George and Rachel have owned this hotel for 12 years and the love and... More

Going to Cranbrook?! Stop here. Honest. Just do it. Peaceful setting, fantastic hosts, the cleanest and quietest room ever - it's the only place on a 12-day road trip that I willing to sink into a bubble bath (and I want their bathtub!). i mean, when do you sit in a hotel bath!? Here you can! The bathroom is like... More
