We stayed in the Columbia Cabin self catering for one night. We usually stay in hotels with breakfast provided, but this was our one self catering stop in our 12 day holiday in Canada. Everything we needed to cook our groceries was provided and we had an excellent night's sleep.

Jonathan and Lucille run this sweet B&B carved from great timbers. It's apparent that its a labor of love and although the facility is in great shape, the enhancement projects are evident. Although its a little out of town its in great proximity to the National Parks and I found it a terrific place for an evening run. There was... More

Lovely couple Lucille andJonathan are great hosts. We got upgraded to the balcony suite which was amazing. Room was great, spa bath and a lovely view. Plus the heat from the fire rising up warms the room too. But, the breakfast was the best I've ever had in my whole life. Lucille was up at 6:20am to cook quiches, pudding,... More

This small inn is big on all the right touches. Beautiful "great room," with a roaring fire, al the bedrooms scattered around it, plus two cottages on the property. Our British hosts, new to Canada, prove that Brits so can cook! Best breakfast I've had in a long time, light lovely quiches, fresh fruit and yogurt parfaits, bread puddings, delectable... More

A really special place. A beautiful log cabin building in huge grounds, 10-15 minutes drive from Golden with amazing views. It is like staying in a private home with home made breakfasts and hosts, a young couple who have run it for just over a year who are genuinely helpful. When we were mulling restaurants John immediately offered to telephone... More

Absolutely gorgeous! The room was perfect (we had the balcony suite overlooking the mountains) and the hosts were great...very friendly and welcoming, even offering dinner suggestions. Fresh breakfast (yogurt parfaits, toast and jams, a quiche type dish, muffins, cereals, juices and coffee/tea etc..) and a visit from the family pup Ollie in the morning made for the perfect night away!

The hosts, John and Lucille make you feel welcome and the lodge is beautiful. Breakfast is a real treat too. If your day starts early, there is a nice to go package in the fridge waiting for you. This is a great starting point to Lake Louise (west) or Glacier National Park (east).

I wish we could have stayed more than one night; the location is lovely and quiet; the rooms comfortable and the huge wraparound porches wonderful for reading a book and admiring the scenery. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts very friendly, helpful and all around nice people. I want to go back soon!
