My partner and I stayed at the Vagabond for 3 nights this August, and had an amazing time. The lodge is lovely and spacious with beautiful decor that feels incredibly cosy. It was a joy to return here after days hiking, rafting, and horse riding. Ken and Lori have focused on making the lodge truly communal, meaning there are loads... More

I genuinely cannot begin to decribe how much both my fiancee and I loved Vagabond and Lori and Ken!!! The place itself is fantastic - if you know Grand Designs, well this is the Rockies very own! Vagabond was literally built from the trees that were on the land before and by Lori, Ken and family/friends. It shows in the... More

We stayed here two nights and it was fantastic. The place is so spacious and extremely clean. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty - Ken makes the best homemade bread! Our room was comfortable and had great views. Ken and Lori made us feel right at home and gave us so many suggestions on things for us to do in... More

Handy walking distance to the Kicking Horse Resort, quiet, authentic mountain feel, like your own home. Home made bread and breakfast is great and easily enables you to get a good start to your activity. Hosts have good local recommendations on things to see and do also.

This place is fantastic. Everything you would imagine a perfect mountain lodge to be. Ken and Lori were super nice, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were large and very comfortable, the views breathtaking, and it is in a great location which is walking distance from the Kicking Horse gondola and some great places to grab a... More

Gorgeous spot up and out of the way of Golden at base of kicking horse mountain. Ken and Lori are fabulous hosts and go out of their way to ensure you get the most out of your trip without being in your face. Breakfasts are delicious and coffee/tea/hot chocolate and baked treats available throughout the day (which were a God-... More

Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Ken (the owner) was really knowledge about the area. He gave several suggestions to us where to go and what to eat. The place is 1 hour away from Yoho national park, which was where we went visiting. Oh, did I mention that breakfast was delicious? Yea, it was really delicious.

My Husband and I stayed with Ken and Lori for 5 nights in July. When we booked we hadn't realised it was going to be a BnB (our mistake) we were pleasantly surprised with the standard, which given the cost is a good thing (we booked the fairmont in whistler for the same price). Both Ken and Lori were lovely... More

My husband and I visited the Vagabond Lodge this past weekend. We had high expectations based on the reviews and we were not disappointed! This establishment has 10 rooms of varying capacities, all on the 3rd (top) floor of the building. The owners Ken & Lori were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was #6, it had 2 queen beds,...
