My wife and I went on a 11 day trip through BC and Alberta and stayed in motels every night. We always tried to find a decent place based on reviews. We liked this motel so much we decided to stay for 4 nights. Yes, it is a motel and not an official resort. But of all the motels we... More

The name definitely throws one off in that it's the furthest thing from a "resort" but it's a sweet little place to stay. The offer a nice variety of breakfast items for their continental breakfast. It's central to things to do and see while you're visiting Nelson.

Stayed here because off the great reviews....big disappointment! Like one reviewer said ....this is no resort just an old motel. Room was not clean especially the bathroom, carpets stained and a smell in the kitchen cabinet that is indescribable. Super squeaky floors, luckily we had a top floor, I felt sorry for the people below us. No breakfast after Sept... More

The "resort" is actually a small motel, about 15 mins driving from downtown Nelson. It is facing the Kootenay lake, but not at the lake and it is away from amenities. We stayed at one bedroom suite on the upper level. The room is equipped with a kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave oven, electric kettle, utensils, cups and plates. There is... More

We stayed here for several nights. We booked a 1 bedroom unit, comes with full kitchen, bathroom and living room. Very clean units who are in need of some renovations. Property is great, about 10 minute drive from Downtown Nelson, fabulous view onto Kootenay Lake. Very spacious resort/property....lots of spaces to sit and relax and enjoy the view, grassy areas... While I found the name to be misleading (it's a motel, not a resort), this motel had everything we needed for our 2 nights in Nelson. The owners are very friendly and personable, and there is definitely a sense of family at the property. The tree fort and play area was a hit with our kids, as well as the... More

The owners, Panda and Meimei are so friendly and helpful and I loved the personal touches both in the decor and service. A wonderful breakfast was included in a charming spacious dining area with everything you could desire including lots of fresh cut fruit, cereals, yogurt, omelettes and home-baked muffins and more. Our big fluffy dog was welcome and our... More

We had a great sleep and enjoyed our stay very much. Exceptionally clean rooms. Continental breakfast was great. Friendly staff who were very helpful. Good location as we were headed north to the ferry. Had dinner in Nelson which is close by.

This motel was a little ways out of town, there is a sign that indicates it is coming up which is helpful. The motel is across the street from the lake but there is no visible place to get to the water. The room was workable, futon was comfortable for the kids, the bed was good, kitchen stocked with the... More

I booked into the Kokanee Glacier Resort in some desperation because I needed a room for a night on a weekend when everything in the interior of BC was booked up. The resort is about 10 minutes outside of Nelson, so it had some rooms available. I grabbed one for me and my dog. While the name may be overselling... More
