We stayed at Canyon Hot Springs for one night in July as part of a motorcycle trip from Calgary to Vancouver. The campground is in a pretty location and seems fairly well tended. Once on site, we had no trouble registering and getting pool passes, although my attempts to reserve a campsite online prior to arrival did not "go through"... More

Stayed for a night while traveling west after white water rafting near Golden. Beautiful site, excellent facilities, esp laundry, showers, toilets, well kept individual full hook up RV sites, the hot springs are perfect to relax in while looking out to the mountains. Would defiantly stay again and we thoroughly recommend it.

This stop reminded me of places I visited with my parents in the sixties. Some of the buildings look updated with metal alpine type roofing. You can camp or park your rv and there are trails nearby. It's an old style resort. The hot springs run into two municipal type pools, nothing fancy, no grottos. Kids with their parents appeared... More

We stayed one night as we did not make reservations at another location. The office and pool areas are nice. The pitfalls to Canyon Hot springs were the extremely small campsites. We were in site 146 and was not impressed. The train tracks are directly behind you and the trains do not stop it seems like a constant rumble of... More

We have visited Canyon Hot Springs for years and enjoy the quiet interlude and escape from the traffic on Canada's #1 Highway. While we notice some attempt at improvements, there is work to do. That said we will continue to visit. Yes, the trains roar through at all hours. Seems to me that noise is the sound of the economy... More

We spent two nights in the "Family Suite. 2 Queen beds, full bathroom, fridge and microwave". There were 4 of us, 2 couples, and we paid with taxes $ 550 total for 2 nights. First off, we called ahead to get some information on the cabin, the person who answered the phone had no clue and could not find someone... More

I really really wanted to give this a great review, the place is picturesque, a truly lovely spot but.....the train running so close to the campground was a deal breaker for me. At 3:10 am it sounds like the train is right in the campground with you! I don't think small children could sleep through that. I had earplugs and... More

Yes there are trains and they do run through the night (naughty trains) and they do make a lot of noise sometimes but then there are a lot of trains in Canada and they do tend to have their tracks close to the highways. So unless you want to go into the bush then expect train noise. However this is... More

Should have read the reviews before entering this dump. WORST HOT-SPRINGS AROUND!! Spontaneous road trip only to be treated like garbage from the owners. Very, very rude KOREAN family, calling us liars, refused to give us our pool passes after purchasing, and refusing to let us in the pool, until I almost lost it. The Pool pass is ridiculously overpriced.... More

My husband and I were driving a long day and found ourselves tired and cranky after a traffic back log due to construction. Imagine our delight when I found that we were right near the Canyon Hot Springs and that we could pull off the highway and be blissfully soaking in a quiet immaculately clean hot pool within minutes! We... More
