Detailed Reviews
I wasn't sure I wanted to write a review - I'm not sure I want the world to know about this amazing gem. But to be fair to the owners, I felt I should.
I LOVE staying here. The accommodations are great - simple, clean, bright, comfortable, quiet. The furniture is quality wood, the decorations are old 'outdoor gear' like paddles, skis, and snow shoes. Everyone takes their shoes off, so it is kept clean inside and you don't get the foot noise. .... And then there's the food: OMG, amazing! I have a lot of food allergies - the breakfast was truly incredible. 3 courses that you can choose from, that include GF and DF options... and all freshly cooked! You select the night before so the chef can prepare for your set time for breakfast (the breakfast area takes 4 seatings at a time). SOOOO much better than the "free" continental breakfasts at a typical hotel.
There's only 11 rooms at the inn, so you need to book early. As word gets out about how amazing this place is, you'll probably have to book even earlier. But it is worth the planning ahead!

First of all what exactly is the Courthouse Inn? It is either a very large B&B or a very small boutique hotel. Whether it combines the best of both or is an uneasy compromise depends on your own judgement. You can get a very nice room with their signature "gourmet" breakfast included for a rate which compares very, very well with going hotel/motel rates in Revelstoke. The location is also excellent; quiet but a short walk to downtown. Now if you are a very early riser then take a morning snack with you because that breakfast is not served as early as some motel breakfasts. And be warned that the rooms to not have individual heating a/c controls so you will need to adjust to that. But on balance we were satisfied and will very probably go back.

If you are staying in or travelling through Revelstoke, BC and needing a place to stay consider this historic little gem. The reasonable price includes a 3 course gourmet breakfast, the pillows are large and fluffy, and the whole place is immaculately kept and decorated in an old time outdoorsy theme. Highly recommended!

This place has really nailed it in terms of attention to detail, service, comfort and convenience.
We received a friendly welcome from the super-helpful Janelle who personally showed us all the facilities in the building and talked us through the Smart TV and other amenities in our room. We stayed for 12 days in room 4 which had a dual aspect with a direct view of the Revelstoke Courthouse itself which looked beautiful in the snow. The room was tastefully decorated, with a table and chairs and a huge comfy bed! There was a private bathroom which was sparkling clean and functional with an excellent hot water supply. Our room was serviced on request during our stay and nothing was too much trouble, including swapping out the duvet for thinner bedding and turning down the heating when we commented that it was a little too hot.
We were staying over Christmas and New Year as we have family who live in Revelstoke. The location of the Courthouse was perfect as we could walk to our relatives' house. We could also walk into town on the level in under 20 minutes and the Old School Eatery restaurant ( which we highly recommend) was just ten minutes walk down the street. There is an on-site carpark with a convenient and secure rear entrance into the building.
We are not skiers but the ski gear drying and maintenance facilities in the basement looked to be perfect for those who do ski.
A big shout-out to Josh the chef who provided a superb three course breakfast and freshly baked snacks at the communal drinks station every day.
I have nothing negative to say about this place and would really recommend it to skiers and regular tourists looking for somewhere quiet and friendly to stay in the lovely mountain town of Revelstoke.
Finally, a massive thank you to Janelle and the staff for making our stay so delightful!

Rooms very comfortable and with a homely feel. Welcome cake/sweet treat on arrivals and delicious 3 course breakfast. Staff very friendly and ensure you are comfortable throughout your stay. Highly recommend staying here when in Revelstoke. Free onsite parking and 10-15 walk into town, also very affordable room rates.

Better than great! Clean and comfortable, with friendly staff. A delightful evening snack, an excellent breakfast, and a special thanks for the snack you provided for the road after breakfast. It was my first time experiencing a hotel where guests are required to remove their shoes upon entry and walk on the soft, clean carpets barefoot or with the provided white indoor slippers.

The Courthouse Inn is a boutique bed and breakfast in a quiet part of the heritage area of Revelstoke. It is about 15 minutes walk to the centre of town but there are a couple of excellent restaurants just 5 minutes away. This was by far the most elegant and charming place that we stayed during a 3 week tour of British Columbia and the Rockies. A delightful home cooked breakfast was included as well as coffee and homemade cake during the afternoon . There was a comfortable sitting room available for residents and the bedrooms were quiet and comfortable. We stayed here again on the way to Whistler after from Lake Louise because we enjoyed it so much

We stayed at the Courthouse Inn for one night last week. I discovered this place by reading many of the glowing reviews on this site and can now confirm they are justified. Comparing it to other lodging options in the area, it would appear to be a higher quality experience and also excellent value for money. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the rooms are very comfortable and the location quiet and peaceful, at least by Revelstoke standards. It’s in a residential area and within walking distance of some good restaurants.
As others have mentioned, the breakfast offerings are superior to what you get in much larger establishments and the little touches are appreciated, including the homemade “welcome here” cupcakes and the use of a communal fridge for a small amount of one’s perishables. Would highly recommend.

What a lovely little property. It's in a great location - quiet and a short walk into town with good restaurant choices nearby. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, and the facilities all you could want. The sitting/breakfast room is very cosy, with coffee/tea and delicious afternoon cakes on offer to tempt you in. The breakfasts were first class and the rooms spacious and very comfortable.

A wonderful experience. Very friendly reception. At check in we were given tips on what was going on in town and as a result had the treat of seeing some live music in the downtown core. We stayed in Room #3 on the main level and highly recommend it. Mountain views, a king sized comfortable bed and very spacious ensuite. Everything was immaculate and the decor was charming and unique with lots of Canadiana antiques etc. You choose your breakfast the night before and a seating time. The servers were very efficient and friendly and the food was delicious. You are asked to remove your shoes and wear slippers or indoor shoes throughout the building, which you can either bring or slippers are provided. This made it feel even more homey and clean! Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again soon.
