Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night during off season. Because they were in the middle of upgrading the doors from keys to cards we got a free room upgrade! Large room, nice view with a cozy fireplace. We were told the beds were brand new and the floors looked new too, so lots of upgrades. The staff were all super personable and lovely. Really liked the pool room/hot tub, though the pool was having some problem with the heater during our stay. Would definitely come back!

We got lucky calling in on the off chance of finding a vacancy! The staff were really knowledgable with where to go to get the best out of our time. Revelstoke is a lovely town with good food, coffee, and drinkeries!! The shops are great and as ever so are the locals. There are lovely walks from the cabins and amazing views. Loved sitting in the hot tub looking at the new got sky with a beer! Well worth booking a stay!

Spent one night and the service was top notch. One very kind lady who couldn’t do enough for us. Even brought us the last remaining croisant to satisfy our two year old. The pool was lovely and the hot tub also clean and satisfying!!

We love Glacier House Resort! We always try to stop for a few days whenever we drive from BC to Alberta. Rugged mountain setting. Quaint log cabins or pleasant rooms in the lodge are a great place to stay. We love the amenities of hot tubs on the cabin decks or in the lodge. We also enjoy outdoor fires which you can have at the main firepit. A great meeting place or a private fire every time that we are here (unless there is a fire ban in effect). We like to walk to the nearby lake to enjoy a swim or sun on the dock or shore. The staff are wonderful. Friendly and very helpful with any question or thing that you need. We will return and return...

Where to begin? I stayed in cabin #105 nine years ago and was delighted by the spaciousness and overall decent accommodations. This month (August 2019) I was excited about returning to this quiet scenic cabin. But I was utterly disappointed. There were so many problems and so many things were broken/not working, I’m going to list them in point form: - The faucet for the kitchen sink released only a small trickle of water - and only cold water. We were expected to wash any dishes used, which was very difficult with cold droplets of water. We reported it as broken, but it was not fixed in our three-night stay. - The hot tub would only heat to luke warm, even after we turned it up to the maximum (after three days of waiting for it to heat). - A wooden stair plank on the deck had been partially broken off and not fully replaced. My mother-in-law, in her late 70s, nearly fell because of the unevenness. - The TV would not work for the first day, but a maintenance person came to install batteries in the remote and adjust it so it finally worked. - The hair dryer in the main bathroom only blew cold air. - The fireplaces didn’t work, and may have been turned off for the summer months, even though the nights were very cool. - The room cleaning services were virtually nonexistent. We never received fresh towels, and the beds were not made. - Despite no cleaning, a McDonald’s bag placed on the countertop, containing cold food items like muffins, was thrown out. My young daughter was very disappointed to lose her snacks. That day the garbage and recycling was removed. - An expensive dog blanket went missing from our cabin and was never returned. We phoned within 24 hours of leaving the cabin to request it be mailed to us at our cost, but we were told it had been thrown out immediately. We didn’t see it when leaving the cabin and I now suspect it was thrown out the same day as the McDonald’s bag (on our second day of our three day visit). The blanket, for protecting furniture and such from dog dirt/hair, is very difficult to replace. - The restaurant was closed on our first night because of a staff shortage. We cooked food, but had difficulty because the kitchen didn’t have basics like paper towel. Plus we had to contend with the slow faucet. - When I contacted the manager about these issues and my dog blacket, I was told she would re-check the cabin for the blanket and email me the next morning. It’s been nearly two weeks and no email. No explanations or apologies. Needless to say, we won’t be returning here, which is really sad because I do appreciate that they are dog friendly, are relatively quiet and peaceful, and I know everything was good nine years ago.

Thank you for staying with us. I have looked into some of the issues you mentioned and maintenance and housekeeping will address them, if there is ever anything missing in the kitchenettes of our cabins we encourage our guests to let Front Desk know right away so we can correct it. Our private hot tubs are not meant to work in summer months because not many people see the appeal to having a hot tub in the summer and as we are a green hotel and are trying to reduce electrical use, however if a guest would like us to turn them on, we would be happy to do so, they will take 2 days to heat and the fee associated is $50. The fireplaces are on, however they will not turn on unless the temperature decreases to a certain level, if the fireplace doesn't heat it's because the temperature is already too high in the room for it to do so. We have contacted you extensively about the dog blanket and I'm sorry that we haven't been able to find it. Hopefully it turns up and if it does so on our end we will not hesitate to contact you again.
