An absolutely must-visit! This place has a days gone-by feel to it. That's good from a nostalgia perspective but kinda bad in terms of the dated decor in the rooms, although there is evidence that updates are inprocess. The rooms are clean and well maintained so that makes a huge difference. The grounds area is nothing short of BEAUTIFUL!! From... More

This hotel has lots and lots of character and beautiful views. Revelstoke National Park is only 15 minutes away. The hotel staff were very pleasant and the gardens were beautiful. Kayak rentals are offered for the lake and there was a helicopter on the premises offering helicopter tours. Ghost Town is adjacent and there is a store and restaurant attached... More

I stayed here with my family for one night as we travelled from Alberta to BC. The price was good. I found the room to be adequate as it is a very old place. It was clean but a little run down. The proximity to the train track and the highway makes for a very loud nights sleep. Earplugs are... More

Quirky and loveable. Our room was great, king bed was super comfy. Hotel is dated but well maintained. The ghost town attached was amazing. So much to see!! Restaurant was good. Soup and sandwich for under $10, can't go wrong. Will go back for sure

The room was decent. Hallways and other common areas of chateau are showing wear and tear. Very dated. The grounds have great potential if they would keep up with gardening. The family restaurant was disappointing. Chicken fingers over cooked and chewy. Steak sandwich was cold and over cooked to well done not medium rare. Friendly service in the restaurant tho.... More

We actually were looking forward to our stay based on the pictures of the outside. We were fooled. This place dates back to the 1950s and does not look like the rooms were renovated since then. Cracked and missing caulking in the bathrooms, a bathroom sink that did not drain until the morning, dusty and dirty floors and chairs, old... More

My wife and I had always wanted to stop in here on the way from Calgary to the interior, and we finally gave it a shot. The setting is beautiful as you drive by. Once we entered the parking lot, it was immediately evident that the building was in poor repair. It truly seemed as though the owners had not... More

I remember as a small kid 30 years ago still going there. From then to now the place has started to show as the up keep seems good, but they are falling behind. The pool was very small and looked disgusting. Rooms where clean but very dated and very noticeable stains on the walls. Restaurant was priced well but the... More

we got a prefect room for our family, 2 bedrooms and 3 beds (1 queen and 2 doubles). We had a ground floor room which opened up to a beautiful garden and amazing looking lake. Hotel started as a 7 room/7 stool hotel/cafe and has stayed in the same family since the 1960's. No breakfast included but the dinner is... More

My husband and I stayed for one night on our way to Banff. The room was not ready until 4:30 pm. While we waited we visited the Ghost Town next door to the hotel which was half price as we stayed at the hotel. It was excellent, so many, many displays. We were very impressed. However, the museum part was... More
