First and foremost, the views from this hotel are stunning. We booked a suite with an adjoining double room to accommodate our family of five. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable but the whole hotel is little tired. For instance, the faux-leather chairs in our living room seemed to have been spray-painted, the dining room chairs were stained, the handles of the bureau in the (very small) master bedroom were broken, the door to the ensuite bath didn't work etc etc. Also, there was construction/repair work being done on premise that started jack-hammering at 8am... not the most relaxing way to wake up on vacation. Sidney is a charming town and the views from the hotel can help you forget a lot of these little issues. But, bottom-line, having done a mini-vacation in July to an excellent resort on Vancouver Island that was comparably priced, we were a little disappointed with our stay at The Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa.

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed for 3 nights and were so pleased. They accommodated an early check-in without question, offered to hold my luggage if needed. We were given a beautiful ocean front room on the 4th floor. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. Kudos to the staff members doing their best to accommodate guests during Covid.

Absolutely no complaints. Friendly staff. Location can’t be beat. Room was clean. We were on a bike trip and the hotel gladly stored our bikes for us. The attached cafe and market was great for morning coffee.

We stayed here an a recent trip to Vancouver Island and Salt Spring Island. It's minutes away from both the Victoria airport and large ferry terminal, so it's super convenient. The town of Sidney is friendly, very accessible and with a beautiful coast line walking path that leads right to this hotel. The hotel is clean, modern and has a great coffee shop on the ground floor. The only miss was they don't provide towels in the fitness center - ick. It's a great place to start your trip to the rest of this beautiful place in Canada.
