We drove to see our niece on Dalhousie. The location of the motel was great for our trip, only a block away from family. The motel was clean but well worn. The staff was pleasant, they would talk with you if they were addressed first. Would we stay there another time, yes but it was just another Days Inn nothing special.
We did eat at the restaurant. Got the last of the fried clams which were overdone. The lone woman working the restaurant informed us there was a no show and they were understaffed. I did feel for her. Also, the elevator was out of service and we were on the 4th floor. Having booked through Booking.com, we were told by the very bilingual desk clerk, that this meant she could not offer us the courtesy of moving to a lower floor. If you can't give your customers a consistent level of service, don't rent rooms to them, or have the third parties supply a list of all things that will be and may be second rate. I don't sweat the little things in life, but I do notice them. The silver lining, a little exercise is a good thing. Normally I give the days inn a better rating but for the above reasons, I could not.…
We stayed overnight at this property. The elevator had just broken down the day we arrived but the stairway was wide and we only had to go up one floor. The room was clean and met our needs. The food was good at the newly operated facility in the hotel.
This property in in bad need of updating. The outside matches the old location of town it is in. There was garbage out front & a container overflowing. The 2 luggage carts were in such poor condition they were about useless. The rooms are dated with no cups/glasses even though there was a coffee maker, along with no Kleenex in the bathroom holder. The room was fairly clean & beds comfy. The reception was friendly & helpful with a quick checkin. The restaurant inside the hotel (Steve’s) & not associated with the hotel, is clean, efficient, good food/service & reasonable pricing. This is a very basic cheapish 1 night stay accommodation with no extras. Unfortunately Dalhousie has few choices to pick from & a depressing city with no tourist points of interest. It is close to The Gaspé Peninsular Region of Quebec if that is your intended destination.…
This is a good hotel. Good location and well comfortable. Pretty quiet. The staff has so kindness and the room was cleaned, the bed and sheets are very good. The negative point, there is no free breakfast.
