I recommend anyone passing through the area to try and stay at this wonderful BnB. The host, Ruth, is an absolute delight, so incredibly knowledgeable, and an even better chef...her breakfast was amazing! Our one night stay at Suncatcher was the very best accommodation from our 10 days roadtrip around the Eastern provinces. Thank you!!

Oh my! Your review is high praise indeed & gratefully accepted! I try to use as many local products as possible when planning my breakfasts; much easier in the Summer! I enjoyed our conversation, especially about the "Dr. Blake Mysteries". The puzzle to his first name was solved on the most recent episode & I laughed as I recalled our... More

We had a great time. Innkeeper is.very knowledgable of the entire province. She even provided dessert in the evening. The room was clean and neat. It is a little hard to find, but worth the effort. Would definately return if we are in the area

Set in a quiet street with nice gardens Suncatcher B+B makes a great place to stop. We were there just one night as we were working. Ruth, the owner is friendly and gives a wonderful welcome and service. The house is spotless and the rooms great with private bathrooms, TV and free wifi. We arrived at 9pm and were welcomed... I shall have to widen the doorways throughout Suncatcher B&B so Keltie can walk around with his swelled head from all the praise he has been receiving from my guests! Glad to know that you enjoyed learning about our small, but historic, province & where we fit into the Canadian story. More

We stayed one night and loved it. From the moment we entered we felt comfortable. After settling in our room Ruth had many menus for local restaurants and provided us with directions. She had dessert and coffee for us after dinner and we had a great conversation with the other guests and our wonderful host. Breakfast was a great and... More

We chose Truro as a home base to travel around the Bay of Fundy for 2 days. Suncatcher B+B turned out to be the perfect place! Ruth, the proprietor, is absolutely lovely! The rooms are very comfortable, and breakfast was yummy. Ruth is a wealth of information, giving great suggestions for things to do and places to visit. Ruth also... More

Our stay with Ruth and Keltie was an experience on its own. Ruth was so warm, her home so impeccably clean and beautiful and gave us our most peaceful sleep from the hustle and bustle of city life. My favorite part in the stay though was the breakfast! I can remember the different delicious spread that was served each day... More

Thank you so much for your detailed review of your stay here at Suncatcher B&B. I am always pleased to know that my B&B guests have an eye for a "well set" table! As you learned, I have a weakness for dishes & table linens & enjoy all the colours involved. Keltie is indeed charming & loves being a B&B... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Gerry & Ruth welcome you to Suncatcher B&B, located in a suburban area of Truro but only five minutes drive from the downtown core. Suncatcher B&B is a four-level split house built in the early 1970s. The B&B rooms are the entire upper level which allows for two large airy rooms each with a spacious four-piece ensuite. After a day of traveling and sight-seeing, our guests gather in our living room for tea/coffee and home-made dessert. This is an enjoyable part of the B&B experience for us. We enjoy chatting with our guests and are willing to help with any trip plans and recommendations. ... more   less
