My husband and I visited in July to celebrate our anniversary. It is the perfect place to recharge your mind, body, and spirit. The rooms were well appointed and the vegan food was incredibly healthy, fresh and delicious - even my meat loving husband really enjoyed most of the meals. In fact, the food was so yummy that since returning home I have become vegan (which I wasn't before) and have been trying to replicate the meals. The resort is very quiet which is perfect for going on a hike in the trails, reading a book down on the dock or canoeing around the lake. The yoga and meditation classes were also really enjoyable. I would recommend adding more traditional yoga classes as well for those guests looking for more of a strengthening workout. Overall, we found 3 nights to be a perfect length of stay. I will be back and likely try to experience the resort as a solo guest (which a number of women there were) or with a girlfriend.

This was my first time staying by myself for a full week at Grail Springs and I cant say enough about my experience. For me it was full of unexpected revelations, healing and transformation.Every single person that worked there touched my soul and I will be forever grateful. The food was phenomenal and the sheer beauty of the location just enriched my whole experience. I am very grateful to have found this amazing place and know it will be a part of many more amazing experiences yet to come.

Went to Grail Springs expecting a luxury wellness weekend, and was completely disappointed. For the price we paid (at 25% off it came to about $1100 for two people for nights) you expect to at least not be starving the entire time. We are normal people with a healthy appetite and expected to get sufficient amount of food. As a holistic nutritionist I expected much more from the food at Grail Springs as the website advertises nutrient dense plant based food which is completely misleading. For breakfast we had one piece of "french toast" and that was IT. The portions are offensive and we practically had to beg for more food each day (at times we were told someone else had already asked and there was no more, at other times we were brought a couple of bites) quite shocking really. Finally we went into town to buy food (ridiculous considering the price we paid). The property itself is beautiful, no doubt, but definitely not worth the price. The first day we arrived there was only 1 yoga & meditation class and the second day it was cancelled. Save your money and DON'T GO HERE.

So sad that this turned out to be a horrible experience for me (at 30 weeks pregnant) and my sisters. Prior to going, I checked with staff that it would be safe. However, based on first-hand experience, I do not recommend to Grail Springs- ESPECIALLY if you are pregnant. 1. The food will not be sufficient. We asked for seconds and were advised there was 'nothing left'. 2. Most of the yoga is not appropriate for pregnant ladies esp. in their 3rd trimester. The classes fill up quite quickly so don't assume there will be room for you. 3. The RMT is not trained for Pre-Natal Massages. I ended up with bruises and was disgusted by fingers with long nails all over my back and rib cage. 4. There is a guided hike of the property but it is arduous and there is NO warning from staff. I almost fainted and felt unsafe. The trails are not brushed and it's dangerous. I would not have participated in the hike had Grail Springs advised of its difficulty. 5. The room I booked was for 3 people. However, they only provided 2 double beds and 1 very disgusting single person couch. IF the reservation is for three people, there has to be three beds. Overall, I felt very unsafe/uncomfortable/hungry. By the end of the retreat, we all checked out early and were so happy to be leaving. After an expense of $3000 for a 3 day and 2 night stay with below standard spa treatments, IT IS NOT WORTH IT. Shame on Grail Springs for taking peoples' money like this and putting PREGNANT ladies in danger!!!!

Dear Emma Lee, Thank you for choosing to stay with us last weekend and also sending us your feedback. We welcome any comments that can help us to improve and we’d like to take this time to respond. We will refund your massage treatment on Monday as your experience was not up to the standard we are used to giving our guests. It appears there was a miscommunication on our part which we take responsibility for, as we do not have a pre-natal program in place. You are correct this is a specialty and requires specific bolsters and other accommodations. For this please accept our sincerest apologies. Regarding the horses and trail conditions, yes each spring there is a period between the final thaw and the warmer weather where it is a challenge to attend to the trails or to keep our horses clean and shiny at all times. They are groomed daily in order to remove the molting winter hair which can take weeks of grooming, but alas the horses delight in rolling in the dirt right after a grooming and unfortunately this also has them enjoying rolling in the wet pools of water that remain from the snow melt which only disappeared for us two weeks ago. It has been a very wet spring. The trails cannot be fully groomed until we can get the trucks in the forest safely without getting stuck. It is a priority to do a cleanup of the trails as soon as they are dry. The room you reserved was furnished with two queen beds which sleeps two persons each. We do not have rooms with three beds nor rooms with double beds. We do not promote the chaise lounge as a place for sleeping. We allow for up to three persons to share a room with two queen beds. The website is clear with a description of each room. Grail Springs promotes a plant-based diet which is approved by a certified nutritionist and confirms that our menu contains the allotted daily protein per person supported by the new Canadian Food Guide. There is also complimentary afternoon snacks, and a list of additional foods that can be ordered which is listed on the black board in the dining room such as protein shakes and other items. There is also a fresh fruit bowl for those looking for extra treats and protein bars in the boutique. Each of your other feedback notes are duly noted and will be addressed with those team members so they too may improve. We are very proud of our dedicated team who do provide excellence in service and sincerely open to all feedback in order to improve wherever possible. Thank you again and we wish you and your family all the very best. General Manager

My Mom and I stayed for three days and once again I had a wonderful time. My biggest complaint for the 3 times I have stayed is that the three different rooms I have been in the rooms have a tiny shallow shower/bath and it is not at all inviting for a bath and being in such a beautiful spa setting it is something that I definitely want. The bath does not meet the luxury of the rest of the room and experience. I think some of the rooms have nice ones, so if it is important for you make sure you get one of the others. A few of them are just queen beds but I would have shared a bed then had that tub.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you and your mom have visited with us for the third time and that your stay was amazing as always! Yes for those who want a deeper tub we recommend booking a room in the newer section of Grail Springs. The reservation gals will be sure to describe and book the perfect room for you. Thank you so much for your continued business and we look forward to your returned visit. Until then, stay well. Madeleine Marentette
