Detailed Reviews
Overall a nice stay here. We rented a cottage privately from an owner with a cottage here.
Cottage itself is nice, and ac is great to have in summer heat. We had waterfront, but would have loved a dock
We were 3 adult sisters, the queen bed and the double over single bunkbed were alright, but my other sister had a single over single and we had to put 2 mattresses on that bed as it was so hard, you could feel the plywood.
Tank was supposed to be pumped daily, but we stayed 3 nights and on the last night we had an overflow at 10:30pm. Thankfully the guy to pump it was still in the park and pumped it, but it wrecked the time we had watching the fireworks show that was going on at the time.
You can use their canoes/kayaks/paddle boats on the beach, but only from 10-6. Would have been nice if it stayed open longer so you could go for a nice paddle after supper. Nice playground for the kids there too. Overall it was a great stay, first time at a cottage resort for us, it was alright, but not sure I'd do it again

This was our first time staying at this type of cottage community and we really didn’t know what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised! Our cottage was clean and relatively spacious and the environment was absolutely serene. The beach is fantastic. The kids’ program, which is on daily from 10-2, was a nice benefit as well. All in all, a very positive experience and we hope to return.

Like many other families we were struggling to figure out a ‘vacation’ with our kids and then heard about this resort. We had the privilege staying in 628 and eventhough there was no cable and no wifi no one cared (and we have teenage girls!). The cottage is very nicely appointed with all you need in the kitchen. They had tons of movies to watch, and games to play when you needed a wind down and a glorious fire pit overlooking the lake, and there was more than enough room for a family of 4 to feel very comfortable. It was a short walk to the beach and the nice part is that this unit is fairly secluded and private so no traffic and no noise. I would HIGHLY recommend you give it a visit.

My husband and I had plans to camp this past weekend but with the weather looking rainy, we opted to rent something a little more comfortable. We were lucky to get a last minute reservation at Bonnie Lake Resort and despite the rainy weather, we had a lovely time!
The resort is made up of pre-fab 3 season cottages. The 700 series where we stayed, was back from the lake and very private in a forest setting. The cottage was a small 2 bedroom with a galley kitchen, living room with small dining area. It was pretty much brand new, clean and well maintained. The AC was perfect for the hot humid weather. There was a newer TV, DVDs, books and games for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked but must bring own measuring cups and utensils. There was a bbq for our use as well as a fire pit on the property.
Our favourite part was the large beautiful deck overlooking the ravine. It was really quite private for this style of resort and a total lifesaver with a lovely gazebo so that we were able to enjoy the rain from the deck.
We did have a small break in the weather and walked down to the beach for a quick swim. It was about 5-7 minutes from our cottage. The lake is small but beautiful, and the sandy beach was quite large. It was a quick visit because of the rain but I can see myself spending a day there during a sunny day.
Overall, we were quite happy with our stay. The staff onsite were friendly and helpful and the setting was quite beautiful and natural. We booked another weekend next month and are looking forward to hopefully better weather. For the price point, this resort is an excellent choice for a couples or family holiday.

If you're vacationing with a baby/toddler dear lord pick a larger 'cottage'. The one we got was more like a mobile home and we could not fit a playpen or bassinet anywhere but the main living room. He wouldn't sleep there with all of us coming and going so we made a bed space with a mattress and gated him off on the floor. There were also these random sirens and then earthquakes bc i guess they're blasting rock out of the earth for more cottages. And apparently the septic tank man needs to come every day at dinner time and make your dinner smell like puup :) overall disappointed. Smaller and louder vacation than our big family wants.

All this company cares about is putting in new cottages with zero regard for the ecosystem around them. They have severely damaged this area and it is a total eyesore now. This place is one huge construction site with golf cart noise at all hours of the day and night. Very disappointing for someone who has been coming here for many years.

We left here because of the clear cutting and blasting they were doing, turning a beautiful and peaceful spot into a subdivision. If that’s your thing, just be very careful with this company. Like any company, they want to make money, of course. But, from our experience, they go to extremes. I will say it a third time…be very careful.
