I went to Brockville to see TheTall Ships Festival. The crowds were awful, but as usual the accommodations were excellent. The comfy bed and the fabulous, fruity, breakfast were just what I have come to expect. What makes this place exceptional is Peter & Lynne with their warmth, friendliness and sense of humour.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights while exploring the Brockville area and had a wonderful stay. Peter and Lynne are fantastic hosts and excellent cooks - our breakfasts both days were great. Peter gave us some spot on recommendations for places to eat. Located in a converted church, the rooms are quaint and cozily decorated and very...

The beds are comfortable and you get your own up-to-date bathroom. The antique furnishings and touches will make you feel right at home and the healthy gourmet breakfasts...

Great place: a converted church; all quality renovations done but great Heritage furniture and overall feel. Tastefully decorated rooms; the place is very clean. Great food: the best Eggs Benedict I ever had and this is my favorite breakfast food, I have had it in many restaurants and Inns; the home made scones are delicious. Great people: Lynn and Peter...

The title is a play on the origins of this establishment having started out life as the Brockville Tabernacle, a meeting place for worship. The photos on the website do not do justice to the job that has been done in converting the space to a warm, liveable environment. Peter and Lynne are everything one could ask for in hosts....

When you go to The Green Door you not are in someone's house. It is a repurposed church which has been made into a B & B. The common areas are big spaces with high ceilings and big windows, beautiful. Each of the bedrooms has its own special theme, very cute. Not outrageous, but cute. On a practical level, there...

Lynne and Peter do an excellent job at their B &B. The rooms are beautifully finished in this historic church which has been transformed into a comfortable and pleasing experience. They serve a beautiful breakfast, asking about allergies and sensitivities top certain foods. The location is excellent within walking distance of downtown and the water. It's the only place I...

When Lynne and Peter took over this building (an old church) and turned it into the Green Door B & B, they did everything right. The location is walking distance to the beautiful waterfront downtown area. Easy access on foot to restaurants, pubs and boutique shopping. This is my 4th stay at the Green Door. I return as often as...
