Had a very comfortable 2-night stay. Friendly and welcoming reception. Enjoyed a canoe ride after arrival. They also have paddle boats, row boats and kayaks. The beach would be wonderful for young children and lots of play area. Room was simply appointed, clean and comfortable. Excellent bed. We liked the fact that there was a small fridge and basics to...

Recommended by Huntsville Tourist Information and we weren't disappointed. Curb appeal may be lacking but what a lovely setting on the lake. We took our drinks down to the jetty to watch the sun setting. Room was clean and spacious with couch and comfortable bed. Canoes available for our use with life jackets supplied. And it was a reasonable price...

This was our first trip to Canada, and we cannot recommend Colonial Bay highly enough. Nicolle and Bruce were lovely, welcoming hosts who made sure we enjoyed what the resort and Muskoka had to offer. The lake and activities on there are great, there was never any problem with availability of kayaks, canoes or boats when we wanted them. We...

There are numerous really nice (and expensive) resorts in this area, as well as numerous more ordinary (and cheaper) motels. Colonial Bay hits a nice spot in the middle. Our room (in the "motel" part, not a cottage) was very clean, and adequate in all ways. Being right on the water, we could swim, canoe, and enjoy just sitting and...

We booked this resort one week before our trip to Algonquin Park. It was exactly what the tripadvisor reviews talked about: clean, spacious, friendly hosts and beautiful view with lots to offer!.. The one thing I did overlook and miss was that the motel rooms were not air-conditioned, but each room was supplied with a fan and had a cross...

A very big thumbs up for Bruce and Nicole! We really liked their friendliness and attention to detail. Breakfast is supplied the evening before, so you can leave for Algonquin as early as you like. We loved the fresh strawberries:-) It's also great to be able to sit outside in the evenings- we're lucky with the weather. We stayed in...

We booked this place online with no major expectations, just wanted a decent clean room for the weekend. We stayed 2 nights in 1 of the motel style rooms and were pleasantly surprised firstly at the service from Nicolle (the owner) who not only gave us tips on where to snowshoe, eat and drink, but also put Valentine's Day chocolates...

We stayed for a week in August with our family. We rented 2 cottages. We were in Muskoka for an Ironman event. The property is beautiful and right on the water. Both our cottages were great, small and simple and exactly what we were looking for. The water is clear and gorgeous. There is a boat launch right beside the...

We stayed here at the beginning of September for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms are very clean and the beds super comfy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We were able to canoe on the lake and use the life jackets etc provided free of charge - all in all much better than we...
