Maynard Lake Lodge is the only lodge and outpost on an 8000 acher section of the English River System. We are only accessable by float plane , yet offer five star accommodations and dinning in this remote setting. We catch trophy walleye, northern pike, small mouth bass, and musky on a daily basis. Our full service resort allows you to think about nothing but catching the next fish and enjoying the friends, family and bussines partners you came with. We take care of everything from your morning coffee to your evenning cocktail and the in between is unforgetable

Everything at Maynard Lake Lodge was beyond our expectations and this was a trip of a lifetime.

1) The fishing is spectacular. In just one 3 hour timespan we caught 52 Walleye, 11 Northern Pike and 1 Bass. Our guide, Marlon, put us on to spots all over the lake and river that kept the action going from 8 to 5 every day. To top it off, my son caught a Muskie!
2) Owners Josh and Kayla are excellent hosts. We were met at the dock when the float plane landed and they both made it a point to check in to make sure we had everything we needed and have a chat with us each day.
3) The chef prepares delicious food in generous portions. I'm a meat and potatoes kind of person and this chef takes the food I'd make at home into another dimension. The best pork chop I've ever had and a cheesecake dessert were my favourites but every meal was excellent. The shore lunch was always delicious with the Walleye we just caught prepared in 3 different ways, side salads, veggies, drinks and dessert.
4) Our waterfront cabin had a gorgeous view of the lake, was sparkling clean, and had taxidermied animals that really made us feel like we were in the Canadian wilderness.
5) The quiet and peacefulness of being on a remote lake with no other people (except the guests staying at the same lodge or outpost) was relaxing and rejuvenating.

The Maynard Lake Lodge experience was something we will never forget. The majority of guests we spoke to while we were there have been to the lodge multiple times and we would love to become regulars ourselves. Book your spot, you won't regret it.

Had an outstanding fishing adventure in September 2021. LOOK, if you want to fish in Canada, Maynard Lake Lodge is where you need to go. PERIOD! Maynard Lodge offers the total package for the outdoors man and the family. This includes the facilities, boats, food, guides, shore lunch and of course catching fish. Not just fishing, but catching as many as you can handle. I’ve had the opportunity to fish in many states as well as the Amazon and Maynard Lake Resort is the best.

We took our 2 young girls to Maynard Lake Lodge and we had the most amazing time! We were lucky enough to get to go out onto the lake with Josh not once, but twice and could not have asked for a better experience. Our girls caught their first fish, we had delicious shore lunches, walked some incredible bush trails, my husband even got to give Muskie fishing a try, and of course we were surrounded by amazing people. The food was awesome as well!!
Can't wait to go back to this beautiful and make more memories!

Thank you Josh, Kayla, Storm, and Axton!!

From the staff, to the accommodations, to the food…. It’s all first class and an incredible fly-in fishing experience! It’s clear that Josh and his wife Kayla are intent on making your stay at the lodge the best it can be. They care about every detail and want to know if something isn’t quite right! The guides are fantastic and know the lake system well. They are treated like family and it shows!

Josh & Kayla run an outstanding lodge. The facilities are top notch, the staff and guides were always looking to make our experience comfortable and the food was amazing. The fishing experience was beyond description. Our entire group caught in excess of 100 fish daily. The shore lunch was always excellent and the variety of the menu was excellent. I hope to return next year

Maynard Lake Lodge is amazing! The owners Josh and Kayla manage the facility and staff to the finest. Friendly service and great accommodations make for a wonderful trip. The guides at the lodge are extremely knowledgeable and know the lake well! Don’t forget about some of the best meals you will eat at a shore lunch and some of the best dinners you will ever eat!

I don't even know where to start! Maynard Lake Lodge was over the top! We arrived, my husband and I, that morning on the float plane with Josh and Kayla and the dock crew waiting for us. They all welcomed us with smiles and handshakes. We were taken to the lodge for breakfast. While we were at breakfast they delivered our luggage to our cabin. Josh gave us all a rundown on how things operated and after we finished breakfast, we were on the water fishing by 8 am. The fishing is incredible! All the walleye you will ever want to catch in a day. Our guide James was Awesome! He made our 3 days that we were there so memorable. Every morning, he had wildflowers that he had picked sitting on my seat in the boat. He knew so much about the lake and fishing that you would have thought he had been guiding there for years, but this was his first year. We will never forget him. The food was over the top. Every meal was outstanding! Every staff member was so kind and eager to please. We were only there 3 days, but those 3 days of memories will last a lifetime. We will definitely be back and for longer than 3 days.

Everything from the floatplane flight up to the flight back was amazing. We were greeted by the owners Kayla and Josh and the staff on the dock on arrival at Maynard. Everyone made us feel very welcome. Food was amazing - breakfast, shore lunches, dinners! Fishing was amazing, caught so many walleye it was crazy, and a 43.5” musky! Guides were very knowledgeable and professional. A better place to be.

Just returned from a memorable trip to Maynard Lake Lodge. We have been going since 2004. Once again Josh, Kayla and staff did not disappoint. If you are looking great fishing (catching!), unbelievable food, best shore lunch in Canada and an attentive friendly staff then look no further. We have been to other Canadian lodges and nothing come close to MLL. Can’t wait to return!
