This is a well-situated downtown hotel. It has had a beautiful boutique renovations. The rooms are quite small, but the beds are large and appointed with lovely linens and nice furnishings. Everything is very clean and comfortable. Hotel Staff and service are great. There is also a great bar with excellent cocktails and non-alcoholic offerings too. It is worth taking a...

I was in Kitchener on March 9th and 10th for my dissertation defence, and the staff at The Walper Hotel made my stay unforgettable. I had requested a quiet room and was given one. I didn’t hear a peep! The room ("Pocket King") was large, very comfortable, and very clean. The breakfast was good (if a tad on the expensive...

I was in town to visit my brother and treated myself to a stay at the Walper. It is a beautiful hotel that have been freshly renovated. It is also nice and quiet and clean. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly without being overbearing. Being centrally located made walking the preferred mode of transportation. The nice café around the corner...

Spent an overnight as we celebrated a wedding which was held at the hotel. The newly renovated space was beautifully contemporary allowing light and cheery colours to breathe new life into this historic hotel. Our third floor room was graciously appointed with an extra, separate seating space.A comfy couch, lounge chair and tv were housed there. Downside was that it...

Enjoyed a week's stay while attending a conference at the Crowne Plaza. Staff was incredibly friendly, room immaculate and the wifi was speedy. Having stayed here and the Crowne Plaza, I'd much rather stay here!

We stayed here for a night while attending a party about 15 minutes away. The hotel is newly renovated and beautiful. It has a lot of personality on both the lobby and the rooms. Front desk staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. They even had a complimentary shuttle to take us to our party so we didn't...

The Walper Hotel was built in 1893 and was recently renovated on 2016. It is absolutely beautiful with both classic and modern features. The entrance is lovely with a palette of whites, greys and blues. The staff were warm and friendly and very helpful. Our room was gorgeous. It wasn't huge but had very high ceilings with lovely moldings. The...

We were excited to stay at the Walper since their renos have been completed, and booked a Weekender package for NYE. Overall, we were kind of underwhelmed but that was more from a service perspective than anything I think. The Pros: -Great location - shops, restaurants, etc. all close by -Good value package for price (hotel, brunch in bed and...

We recently returned this past weekend to the Walper, after being married there 10 years ago. From the time I booked the room, to check-in, to check-out, the experience was top notch. We've stayed at several boutique hotels in big cities, and the Walper gives them all a run for their money. The price was beyond reasonable, and the new...
