Hotel's Favorite
My husband and I took Grandkids (8 and 11) to Toronto after Covid lock down and before the 4 wave hits. We wanted it to be fun, adventurous, and more like before Covid. We picked this hotel for the proximity to Canada’s Wonderland, and other tourist spots, as well as two pools, one outdoor and one indoor. It was very clean, staff very friendly and helpful, and pools were a hit. After a day out we could comeback to hotel and just relax around the pool. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone.

The hotel, staff, and rooms were fine. Something for families to keep in mind is that the pool is shared with a local club, meaning the pool is open to hotel guests and community members. We book hotels specifically because they have pool. The kids really look forward to swimming, so it makes for easier travelling. Our experience here was disappointing though. The community members seemed surprised to have hotel guests in the pool - literally staring at us during arrival - and were generally unwelcoming while the kids swam. Will not book again and would not recommend for families, especially those with smaller kids.

While we can understand and empathize with how awkward it can be to be in a pool area while having patrons from the community sharing it as well. We would like to mention that we do have 2 indoor swimming pools on facility. The other pool is located in the Sheraton and is for hotel guests only, as a Best Western guest, you have access to both facilities. I hope this clarifies some things for you. It’s our 3rd stay at this BW in past year. We had great experiences until this recent stay because of one staff Mo——-an. It’s easier for the 7 of us to meet at the lobby. 2nd or 3rd day there, a staff came by to offer us bottled water. We thanked him even though we didn’t need water. Next time we’re at the lobby, Mo—an approached us and asked for our room number. My friend provided her room number and Mo—an said something like all you in one room? I then gave her my room number. Another friend asked her why she needed our room numbers. Mo—an said we could talk at the Starbucks at Sheraton. We asked if we’re a nuisance or someone complained. She said someone complained. We looked around , there’s one person sitting at one corner. Another corner had 4 empty chairs. We’re chatting but don’t think we’re loud. By then all of us were there so we decided to leave. Next day I finished the bottled water that I brought. So I decided to get one at the front desk on my way out. Mo—an was there. I asked her if I could have a bottled water. She asked for my room number and said she could only give me one. It’s the way she said it really upset me. I told her I ONLY asked for ONE bottle. Maybe she just wanted to ensure we’re hotel guests. But we definitely felt insulted when she implied all 7 of us stayed in one room! No offense to hotel management, but if we weren’t guests, I don’t think that hotel lobby is a spot we want to “hang around”. Fortunately Mo—an was the only BAD experience we had. We still like the hotel location and all the other staff we encountered.…

Very clean and comfortable beds. Had 3 nights of great sleep. They even hired security to monitor the hallways to ensure a quiet night. Worked great for all the kids on my floor! It has the benefits of having great fitness options large and smaller indoor pool. Outside pool. Squash courts and weight rooms with 2 full gyms for basketball or whatever. Rooms are basic no tub -shower only but clean. Also has a fridge and microwave. This facility is so close to many popular restaurants and not far from Vaughan mills mall. Front entrance only has stairs. Have to go to side entrance to get carts for luggage. Tim Horton’s one side and Starbucks on the other. I would stay again. Very central and beside highway 7 and 407

The rooms are always clean. The beds are comfortable. The balcony is a nice touch. Access to the pool is always an added bonus. It is a great location. Close to multiple restaurants and activities. Stay here!

I started with check-in, the guy in front of me was complaining about the smell in his room and how he needed to change rooms. This already started to worry me that I too would end up with this issue. Went to check in, and my room is not ready yet. Check in is at 3:00pm, I arrived at 4:30pm. The lady at the counter was able to get me a different room that was ready. Luckily it was not the smelly room the previous customer returned. I arrive on my floor and the workers are still cleaning rooms. All the rooms around me are being cleaned. I left for dinner at 6pm and the workers had only moved 2 rooms down at most. I want to check out the pool, so I went to the basement. It smelled horrible. So, I assume the guy exchanging his rooms was probably in the basement. I walk all the way down the hallway and at the end there is a security guard sitting there watching the hallway. This seemed very weird as no other halls or floors has a security guard. He just nodded to me, and I walked by. I finally get to the pool which is behind 3 or 4 doors after the security guard, so I know he isn't sitting there to guard entry to the pool. The pool seemed okay. You could tell it was an old building and old pool. I wouldn't necessarily say it was dirty and gross, just old and needs some upkeep/renovations. I went into the pool and stayed on one side and this son and father were doing the butterfly in the middle of the pool. They didn't move to one side so I could swim and just swam right in the middle of the pool. They once almost hit me, and the pool was so wavy that I felt like I was going to drown and just got out instead. Then I watched as the worker came in with a mop and just dragged it around behind her as she walked around the pool to "clean" up the water. She didn't even mop properly with it. After the pool, I went back to the room to shower. The shower was gross. Seemed like small booger like substances were on the wall. Also the water kept going from hot to cold. At 9pm, is when the screaming began. Kids from a French school arrived, and all stood out in the hallway scream-talking to each other. This went on for a half hour as the teachers did nothing to quite them. Once they all got into their rooms the hall quitted down for about 5 minutes before the kids started screaming in their rooms. I could hear the teachers talking to them a few times. Probably telling them to shut-up. But what I learned is the walls are THIN!…

Family friendly, comfortable accommodation, therapeutic amenities, delectable food, refreshing beverages, courteous staff, service with a smile in a perfect location in the hub of Richmond Hill with many restaurants, and attractions nearby and on Highway 7 with easy access to highway 404 and 401 - ideal or family, friends or corporate colleagues for a convention, conference or cozy retreat filled with fellowship, food, and fun! We travelled with a hockey group. The hotel can be confusing to navigate but there is an entire area with ping pong tables, a full basketball court, gym, pool, squash courts etc which was wonderful for our group of around 60 and active kids. There are also rooms to rent in the Sheraton for gatherings and another quieter pool. They were strict on drinks in the area (even water) but overall were very patient and kind with a large group. Overall we would definitely recommend it here.

Had requested a quiet room but it was next to very noisy people . I did not complain earlier as I had asked about the quiet room I had requested and this was what I was given. When I returned from the visitation at 9:30 the people were still noisy but I was depleted after the visitation so hoped they would quiet down. I did not want at this point to pack up and move. In the morning the noise started again. I ended up leaving early. They did give me a free breakfast but then my bill just came to my home and I was not given the compassionate rate I had been promised
