Our party of 4 (parents and 2 teen boys) spent one night on our way up to Jasper town centre. Anneke and Carmelo could not have been more welcoming. We had 2 bedrooms that were very comfortable and quiet. They are located just a couple blocks from Main St. so walking to dinner was very easy. We really enjoyed the... More

If you're thinking of stopping in Canmore, which is much nicer than Banff, then this is THE B & B. to stay in. Location is great, just a short walk into town. Our hosts were great, the room was quiet, spacious and spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were excellent. That's the way to run a B & B !!

We stayed for a weekend and really enjoyed the space, the hosts and the breakfast. Very close to the river for a nice walk. Great wild mushroom omelet and he smokes his own salmon. Close to downtown-walking distance. Helpful hosts. know the area very well and offer guidance. Even shared their park pass with us to go into the National... More

The couple that owns Stella Alpina are just as nice and hospitable as one can ask. The room was much larger than we expected, but most importantly it was clean. The wild mushroom omelet in the morning w/some wonderful lox on the side. YUM! Will for sure stay again when we need a break from the city.

I stayed here for a weekend while in Calgary for work and absolutely loved it! Anneke and Carmelo are amazing and take wonderful care of their place. The house itself is a celebration of Canada and the beautiful wood and flowers that are found there. The breakfast is unexpectedly gourmet - they smoke the salmon in house and pick local... More

This is such a wonderful place to stay. We haven't been for many years, and so pleased we went back. The room was perfect with a very comfortable bed. Carmelo and Annike are the friendliest hosts you could ever meet. The breakfast was delicious, salmon, wild mushroom omelette, and banana bread was our favourite. Thanks so much for making our... Carmelo and Anneke were gracious hosts. We stayed for two nights and spent most of our time enjoying the town of Canmore and relaxing in the very comfortable accommodations. The log bed was so comfy, I slept like a baby. The breakfast spread was incredible: Anneke made fresh bread each morning (rosemary focaccia the first day and fresh cinnamon buns... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. As mentioned by previous reviewers Carmelo and Anneke are perfect hosts of their lovely accommodation. It is beautifully located in a residential area and less than a 5 minute walk to the main streets of Canmore, which we loved in the evenings, walking for supper. It is evident they love... More

Where to even begin? Carmelo and Anneke were the perfect hosts. Between them six or seven languages are spoken. All three of the guest rooms have a private bath and are wonderfully furnished with hand-crafted furniture and comfortable beds. Very quiet and has a private entrance. Breakfast is absolutely wonderful - make double sure you try the smoked salmon omelet... More
