We were lucky enough to get a one night stay here. It was great. The rooms were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great! And having a top of the line coffee maker all day was just an added bonus. Stay here if you can!

Our family of three adults stayed at the Paintbox Lodge's ground floor Cabin Suite for four days at the end of June 2015. The Lodge is co-managed and run alternatively by two young ladies, graduates from the extensive Nordic Ski facilities in the area. Kate and Liz were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient; in their care we felt right at... More

in 2010 I spent one night in the Paintbox Lodge and loved it. Five years later I was able to spend two more nights, and it's still fabulous. It is such a friendly little place. You feel like family (to the point where I forgot to lock the door one day, but didn't fret about it when I remembered) there,... More

My husband and I stayed at the Paintbox Lodge for 5 nights, and would definitely stay here again. We stayed in the studio room, which was small, but perfect for our needs. The decor of the room and the rest of the building was very nice and everything was very clean as well. The continental breakfast was the best I've ever had... More

Our extended family group of 8 stayed here for three nights at the beginning of a driving tour of Banff-Jasper national parks. We really enjoyed the casual, welcoming feel of the property and the location in the centre of Canmore was great. Each room is uniquely decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast is included and it was very good, although it... More

On Thursday July 16th my party had a wonderful time with chef George Bayne demonstrating Indian cooking. It was the first of the events I had planned on our three day 'Celebration of Life' for my deceased husband. George was so uplifting that my son, grandsons, nephews and friends soon lost the sadness that we had been feeling when everyone... More

We are never disappointed when we stay here! Thoughtful, kind staff and a low-key quiet spot that allows us access to all we love about Canmore and Banff; Banff being only a twenty minute drive away. The breakfasts are homemade - full of taste and variety. The rooms are spacious and the decor is outdoorsy in the best possible way.... More

We only stayed for one night, but loved the cozy atmosphere & friendly staff. Breakfast was wonderful and we were made to feel very much at home. We will definitely come back & hopefully take in one of the cooking classes.

We felt like we were staying with friends - very gracious and considerate friends - when we stayed here. A comfortable and quiet room, excellent restaurants at your doorstep, delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful staff and free bikes to explore the town - why stay anywhere else in Canmore.
