We have stayed at the Paintbox Lodge several times and each time has been terrific. Our latest visit included joining a fun cooking demonstration which added to the experience. We watched the demo -- Spanish Farmhouse -- ate the terrific food, had some wine and then walked upstairs to our room. The rooms are comfortable with lots of nice touches...

We had try to get into the Paintbox a number of times but never could find and vacancy when were available. Finally, we lucked out. Plush, well appointed. Friendly staff, gourmet food. Coffee to die for available 24/7. Home made snacks. Quiet venue, great parking and situated near the shopping and good restaurants.

My husband and I just spent 2 nights here - loved the hotel itself, the staff and the events we took in - a cooking class (Turkish food - chef Berna) and Culinary Funk. Both great events. The atmosphere of this small hotel is warm and inclusive; the rooms well appointed (great soaker bath tub), the breakfast delicious! There is...

We have been wanting to stay here for a long time and finally had the opportunity recently, only for one night, unfortunately. Very nice staff at the front desk and in the kitchen. We stayed in the Cabin Room which is actually two bedrooms...the main room was very large and well appointed with a small fridge, wine glasses, etc.; the...

We had a group of 11 at the Paintbox lodge for a cooking course and overnight stay. The lodge is small, inviting and intimate with only 5 suites/rooms. The cooking class was awesome. The cooking class started with a complimentary glass of prosecco followed by some instruction from Chef Marianne who was professional and friendly, we learned some great tips...

My boyfriend and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary recently in Canmore and decided to stay at the Paintbox Lodge. We stayed in the Painters Valley Room and it was spacious, decorated perfectly, and the bed was so comfortable. I LOVED how we had 2 wine glasses and a bottle opener in our room to enjoy some celebratory drinks and...

A friend recommended Canmore over Banff and after a quick check with tripadvisor we chose Paintbox Lodge for 4 nights. Its a little dearer than a motel but treat yourself, its worth it. Great room, great bed, bathroom good, breakfast was all prepared on the premises, even the fresh bread, by far the best we ate on our 3 week...
