Asked for a king bed when booking room. Received a two Queen. The room smelled of onion and dog when we checked in. Asked if we could move to a none pet friendly room. Was told to wait in the room on a call. 35min later, no call. Talked to front desk lady she told me she would call my cell phone. No call. Returned to hotel at 8:00pm and was told there was no other room, and that housekeeping did not and will not clean the room or freshen it up. Then stubbed my foot on the broken pillar of the bed. Head board has some nice holes and wear marks. Pic 1 The desk has moldy stains under the glass. Very very clean. Great staff. Breakfast offered needs to be switched up. Veggie fratada got old really quick. Fresh fruit tray would be great. Jacuzzi loft suite was amazing, two bathrooms. Heard the hotel has been sold and will be renovated.

There wasn’t a problem or situation that Harshman on the FD couldn’t fix. He was 100% kind and professional . The lobby was clean, elevators efficient. The only disappointment was onsite restaurant I give them 1* due to inconsistent hours …. Expected to have Sunday dinner there … shocked when closed! What tourist town restaurant closes at 5pm?

I found the hotel and our room to be very clean and attractive. We had a minor problem in our room upon arrival and it was promptly and satisfactorily taken care of by maintenance. The housekeeping staff were frequently seen cleaning rooms and public areas. The room was well designed to be comfortable and spacious to meet a traveler's needs. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. A young man at the front desk was especially helpful when I needed assistance in printing some pages while using the business center computer. The hotel is located near the interstate for easy access but far enough off the road to be in a quiet location. I do agree with other reviewers that for the price a substantial breakfast should be included in the price of the room.

We were passing through Canmore and pulled off the highway to sleep for a few hours. I was kinda put off by the price at first ($319 per night) but we weren’t about to go searching for something cheaper at 1:00AM with a screaming baby. In the morning we discovered the room was less than clean. A section of peeling wallpaper in the bathroom revealed a patch of black mold. Long black hairs were in the sink, shower, and walls. Shower curtain rod was starting to fall off the wall. The shower was partially plugged and water would pool in the tub while showering. I left my phone number and info with the attendant at the front desk as I wanted to speak to a manager about our issues. I also emailed the hotel describing all the issues and asked specifically to speak to a manager, still no word from anybody 5 days later.…

We couldn't have asked for a better location, in a hilly wooded area just off the main road to high-spirited Canmore, nestled in a beautiful valley within the Canadian Rockies. The views from our window were lovely, and we had only a short walk to all of the amenities in this charming city that seems to have everything needed for a great time in any season: a stroll-able downtown full of shops, cafes and bars, sports for all seasons, attractive lodgings like our own, and every inch of this pleasant town set against the magnificent backdrop of the Canadian Rockies. Given the overall appearance of the Holiday Inn -- so well designed with decorative touches reflecting the beautiful environment outside its doors, and having the added convenience of both a restaurant and a bar right in the lobby -- we thought we had hit the jackpot. It was only when we came back from a busy day downtown, hoping to relax with a late snack and maybe some wine, that we discovered the restaurant and the bar were both closed due to a personnel shortage. It appeared to us that this was not a short-term issue -- "oh sorry, the bar and restaurant unfortunately are closed tonight" -- but a longer-standing one. Perhaps it was resolved after we left. I doubt we would have changed our plans, but it certainly would have been appropriate for someone to let us know about these closures when we checked in. We could have stayed a bit longer downtown and likely checked out the next morning without a vague sense of disappointment. Still, the Holiday Inn Canmore has a lot going for it, and so it is a place we would stay again if we were to return to the area on a future trip. If you are planning to visit here, I'd recommend you check in advance regarding any closures that might affect your stay.…

Room was decent, clean enough. Location good, easy on and off from highway and away from traffic in downtown Canmore. Stayed 2 nights. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Make sure you purchase breakfast when booking since it is not included. Enjoyed the chef's creation both mornings, a cut above the standard egg dish at the other Holiday Inn Express locations we stayed at during our vacation. My only complaint is that the breakfast did not open until 7 am. Price was on the high side but it was busy season.

We booked holiday inn for its consistent standard. It still surprised me in positive way: Spacious room with cathedral ceiling and ceiling fan. Looks new, room has microwave and refrigerator, got free continental breakfast due to Diamond status. There is a working hot tub but didn’t use. For Canmore location, this is a good deal.

Stayed here for 6 nights, located across the highway from central Canmore, ok but not ideal, 3 minute drive/15 minute walk to centre of town. Room was large & clean with a good shower, fridge & microwave, wifi was also good. Staff were welcoming but bar/restaurant closed at 8pm and was not open for 3 days. There is a small Gym and washing machine & dryer (which we used twice) in the basement. Jacuzzi was out of action during our stay. There is a large car park.

Booked two night stay September 4-6 at $356 and $280 respectively each night. We later planned to add September 3rd, the same disability room was available but at $460! We declined. In the room the carpet was dingy with a carton top on it. The freezer had meal remains in it and food was in the fridge. In the bathroom there was a bathtub not roll in shower. The whole place is in need of an update. They charge $19 each for breakfast. On checkout there were three entries each day for DMC, DMC-GST and DMC-Tourism levy. The receptionist did not know what they were.
