The rooms are very clean. That is always top priority for me! The bed was comfy and it suited our needs with a little kitchen. However, the typical cheap Alberta wood construction of the building is horrible. We could hear the dishwasher from the suite...More

I paid $120 less here than my friend did at Solara (I had a one bedroom and she had a two bedroom). The front desk clerk was not there upon arrival but there was a sign saying they would return promptly. She said there was...More

The front desk folks did their best to accommodate our request. They were friendly and welcoming.

Yes there are two supermarkets , Sobey's and Safeway within a mile of the property. As well as several convenience stores and restaurants even closer. You can find almost all amenities you could want within a few miles.

Canmore to Columbia Icefield is about 200 km. If at all possible I would suggest driving along the Icefield Parkway instead of just joining a tour going to one place, because the scenery along the Parkway is stunning, and most people like to stop at various points of interest to best experience the Canadian Rockies. Interesting places I stopped by between Canmore and the Icefield when I drove up to Jasper (and on the way back) include Hector Lake, Bow Lake, Bow summit, Peyto Lake, Mistaya Canyon, Waterfowl Lake, Big Bend, and the Weeping Wall. All very nice, some involve minimal walking (I would not even call it a hike).
