The entire property is beautiful! All staff were very friendly. The owner Mary looked after all details before we got there. We had great 2-hour horse ride, it was our daughter just turned 7, it was her 1st. time ride a horse by herself. All horses are very well trained, she felt very much secured, was giggling the whole time!... More

Wife and I booked 3 nights at teepee#2. This is the teepee closest to the river , sound of the water is so relaxing. Wood stove in teepee kept the chill off at night . We had morning breakfast at the lodge, food was simple, fresh and adequate. Just a peaceful tranquil experience all around. Jules and Topher. Lloydminster Alberta

We have been staying at Old Entrance for the past 7 years and they never disappoint us with their hospitality; There are not to many places that are still affordable in or nearJasper National park; plus the area is so peaceful for our 2 traveling cats; they book up early, especially in peak season, so plan ahead; as for the... We visited this property for a family gathering and unfortunately didn't find the staff very hospitable nor accommodating. We were greeted with a list of rules that seemed a little excessive including take off your shoes ( which we were reminded to do), doors locked at 11 pm, don't feed the dog etc. The two bedroom suite in the basement... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Old Entrance. The ranch is beautiful with clean and comfortable rooms, well designed cabins, and rustic teepees along the river. Horses graze around the main house and cabins every day and are available for trail rides. Mary is a great horsewoman and Canadian whose family has been in the area for generations, and was... More

Three of us booked a teepee for one night here. When we arrived they had set the fire for us in the stove to warm things up. The beds were comfortable and we stayed dry even though it rained a little. Firepits, axes, chairs, picnic tables, and propane BBQs are outside of every teepee and wood is provided for $10.... More

This is our 5th time to the Ranch and we always look forward to returning for the peace and quietness. We stayed May 23, 24, & 25, 2016 in the Ridge Cabin and love this little rustic cabin in the woods. It has electricity but no running water; is very cozy, private & was supplied with everything we needed; the... More

Had a lovely night in cozy teepee #3 right beside the rushing Athabasca river at the end of August. Went on an incredible 3 hr trail ride that took us up onto the bluffs overlooking Roche Miette and the mountains to the west as well the river valley and the passing trains below. Mary led the ride and her knowledge... More

Less than an hour from the hustle and bustle of Jasper and nestled on the shores of the Athabasca River, this lodge/camping establishment provides beautiful scenery and peace and quiet. We really enjoyed our horseback ride through the mountains with experienced leaders and well cared for horses. The views were gorgeous! Mary, Carol and the staff at Old Entrance were... More
