Lovely little b+b within Hinton, you are made to feel so welcome from the word go. The b+b is just stunning, with great breakfasts and great advice. Would highly recommend this b+b. We used it as a stopping point between field bc and our trip up to Edmonton and was well worth it.

We came from Hong Kong. We stayed in Canada for 2 weeks time, mainly in the Rockies. We stayed in the Flying Dog for 2 nights. The tranquil environment and the perfect hosts, Bill and Marilyn , made us feel so relaxing and comfortable that I would recommend the Flying Dog to anyone who wants to visit the Rockies(mainly the... If your looking for a friendly, warm home away from home, this is the place to stay!! Bill and Marilyn are perfect hosts, who treat you like family! Their home is beautiful, clean, roomie and full if natural light. I'm not a wine drinker but my husband enjoyed Bill's homemade wine very much, we had many chats about what to... More

I love B&Bs and have stayed at many around the world. In most good B&Bs, you meet other travellers and experience a home-away-from-home atmosphere you don't get in a hotel. I spent 4 nights this week with Bill and Marilyn. I had the Ensuite room. Bill and Marilyn are charming and gracious, and make you feel perfectly at home. They... More

Actually, the bed you slept in for four nights is a Queen size as advertised. Also, we have a table/desk available to add to the room's furnishings upon request. The same is true for a small fridge, microwave and twin bed in addition to the Queen size bed. I wish you would have asked - we would have loved to... More

We stayed for three nights in mid-July, and of the six B&Bs we stayed at during this trip, this one tied for first place, Our hosts were very gracious, intelligent, and caring, and invited us for a glass of homemade wine our first night there (the wine was excellent!), and we had several interesting conversations with them on a variety... Marilyn and Bill treated us as the family members while we stayed with them for 3 nights. Very warm family atmosphere! We had a spacious room with its own deck where we enjoyed evening time with the view of a forest. Breakfasts were delicious and Marilyn makes fabulous rhubarb loaf (forget about diet). Our hosts were very helpful with hiking... More

The perfect location, so close to Jasper, and a beautiful B&B. Breakfasts are delicious, the accommodations were lovely, and the hosts, Bill and Marilyn, wonderfully gracious and welcoming. Ask Marilyn to play the harp - she makes beautiful soul-touching music. Hinton is a quiet retreat from the hecticness of day-to-day life too. Wholeheartedly recommend this B&B!

A warm welcome awaited us from Marilyn and Bill when we stayed one night with them recently in their lovely home. Spacious en-suite room with its own deck which we would have loved to enjoy if it was not snowing! A delicious breakfast in the morning with our hosts. Thank you for welcoming us into your home!

Gracious hosts, helpful with hiking and dining plans, nice home in a nice neighborhood located close to a market. Very nice breakfast. Hinton is a good location to stop at on the way to Jasper from Edmonton. It is a short hop to the entrance of Jasper National Park and not far from Miette Hot Springs and the Sulphur Skyline... My wife and I stayed here on a motorcycle road trip through the Rockies. Not only is it bike friendly, but we were met after a day on the road by a welcoming atmosphere, a comfortable room, pleasant conversation and a cold beer. Simply awesome end to a days travel.
